Talkative Tuesdays w/ TNRQ:
Last Friday, one of Jax’s teachers called me to pick him up because he had a fever. She stated that one of the other kids in the class had the flu and it could possibly be that and I should get him to the doctor. Now, nothing against her but y’all know that wasn’t about to happen for them to “diagnose” him with flu, RSV, a cold etc. because my focus is never on the title of the illness but more-so on the symptoms and how to remedy those. Personally, I never freak out when the kids have a fever because it’s simply the body’s way of fighting something that doesn’t belong in there. Western medicine teaches us to bring the fever down by way of Tylenol, Motrin, etc. but that does nothing for the illness itself plus there are so many negative long-term effects including heart disease, Alzheimer’s, liver disease, etc.
In our home, we 1st detox by way of @thegraciousearth detox baths and the One Love Blended Juice Cleanse. After getting the bad stuff out, it’s important to put the good nutrients back in and we do so with elderberry syrup (w/ echinacea and vitamin C), vitamins w/ probiotics, and water, fruits, and veggies.
He also had a bad cough and some congestion. To help with this, I combined lemon, peppermint, and lavender oil diluted with coconut oil and rubbed it on the bottom of his feet and along his spine. At night, I diffused the following concoction to help him breathe better and relax: * 8 drops of lavender
* 6 drops of frankincense
* 6 drops of lemon
* 4 drops each of peppermint, chamomile, tea tree, and eucalyptus
Finally, I also implemented sound therapy to help with the cough and help him sleep. He’s been sleeping so good and the night coughing has faded away. Here’s the YouTube link: https://youtu.be/KNCU2galZME
We are now on day 5 and Jax is doing much better. No doctor visits, no antibiotics, or any other typical antics needed. Our bodies are designed to fight sickness AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT. That environment includes the body itself and what we put in it which also means avoiding dairy, eggs, and meat normally but especially when sick.
