JUNE 2018. I think this was taken when I was the fittest I've ever been! Reflecting on my habits I was freaking annoying on ig stories complaining of my lack of sleep and eating when really all I needed was better time management skills. BE THE CEO OF YOUR LIFE. I'm slowly getting back onto the gains train by eating a little bit more everyday, sleeping more and prioritising training - making me feel all wholesome and balanced and shiz 🙏 It's a quiet time for Midnight Mischief again so I'm making the most of it by focusing on my health and gym goals again!

I’m so happy with where I’m at in my journey right now. ✨ I’ve come out of that rut I’ve been speaking about in 2 previous posts 💪🏼. . My advice to someone who struggles living a happy healthy life: kick the “All or Nothing” approach. It works for many, and I take my hat off to them 👏🏼 but it’s a cycle which exhausts me as I over indulge after a couple days of strict eating, left feeling guilty and a failure. 🤚🏼 Bye bye to all that negativity. 🌷 . I’m better off with a long-term approach toward my health and fitness 🌱✨ which entails drinking tons of water, eating wholesome and nutritious meals, moving my body one way or another everyday and living in a way which keeps me moving closer to my goals. ✨ This ALSO includes cupcakes 🧁 every now and then, burgers and milkshakes with friends, and the occasional choccie 🍫, all in moderation and just enough to keep myself sane 🧠. . I just want to encourage you girl, don’t give up and think you’re not cut out and good enough or strong enough to change your habits for the better, live healthy and become fit. Someone else’s way of doing it isn’t the only right way! 💕 treat yoself, just enough so that it contributes to fueling your progress and goals ⛽️. . I have posted the sandbag routine a few times on my page. I integrate this into my training cycle plan and perform the routine twice a week. - Sandbag Stack Routine: Stacks borrowed from the Canadian Armed Forces Fit Test: 1️⃣ Two 45 lbs+ or 20 kg+ bags, for my training I use 55 lbs bags. 2️⃣ Set the bags up 1.5 m apart. 3️⃣ Pick the bags performing a squat to deadlift movement and drop the bags from a height of 1 m or higher. 4️⃣You must pick up and drop the sandbags for a total of 30 reps. 5️⃣Time allotted is a maximum of 3 mins and 30 secs - In this video I am also wearing a 50 lbs tactical pack. I do this for additional core engagement as well as functional training. I have found wearing the pack has increased my speed, my endurance and my strength for the exercise and other training activities. - My fastest time with the loaded pack and 55lbs bags is 1 min 9 secs. Without the pack and using the standard 20 kg or 45 lbs bags is 54 secs. - This video has me doing a voice over so you can replicate this, get motivated and implement it into your training cycle. - Personally I love doing compound training and my body responds rapidly when I push hard, eat well, stay hydrated and get regular sleep. At the time of this video, Feb9th, 2019 at 8:00 pm MDT I have lost a net 17 lbs of body fat during this shredding cycle.
