Happy Sunday😎 Although it’s officially fall it definitely feels like summer out there😅 I had a nice upper body workout this morning to start my day. I feel so much more motivated after being back at the gym for a little over a month now.

Glute focused workout 🍑🏋🏼♀️using moderate weight and supersets. I am focusing on lower weight and strengthening various parts of my body before jumping into heavy weight again. Lacking enough strength in areas like your core including your lower back can affect your lifts and lead to injury/improper form.
Even if you feel strong enough to lift a certain weight, focus on perfecting your form and building strength in other areas of your body that play a large role in these lifts as well! 🙂muscle and strength building takes time and hella patience but your body will thank you 🙏🏼 #gymshark#gymlife#personaltraining#workoutsforwomen#workouts#instaworkouts#lifting#motivation

As weekend’s go, this one was above average.
Ticked off a single season London Classics with a chilly and intimate @swimserpentine before heading to Kent for the 280km White Cliffs edition of Ragnar Relay with the @ultraxco squad.
We didn’t take it seriously at all and still managed to snag the overall win and a course record. I also scored my third piece of jewellery for the weekend that I’ll never wear again.

Plant based fuel after the @redbikestudios champion ride this am by @ridewithreed. On my plate = steamed kale, 2 bell peppers & plant based sausage sautéed together, homemade plantain chips (I ate way more before taking this and only had these 4 left.. not sorry bout it), and 1/2 avocado. One of my favourite things about HIIT is that it may help you burn more calories than traditional exercise,😏 or burn the same amount of calories in a shorter amount of time.😝
There are many ways to implement HIIT into your exercise routine. 🤯

Give these a try⬇️ 1️⃣ Squat to Oblique Crunch 4 sets of 25 seconds
‼️Push off your heels and bring your elbows to your knees
2️⃣Lunge + kick 4 sets of 20 seconds on each leg
‼️Key to this exercise is to find your balance and have control
3️⃣Squat jump and touch 4 sets of 30 seconds
‼️Focus your weight onto your heels and keep your chest up and open

Decided to record some of my core workout from this day for you guys💪🏼 activation/warmup:
15 minutes on the stair master
15 minutes on treadmill
1️⃣ 15x4 - go into a squat to challenge yourself more
2️⃣ 30 secs x4 - hands under butt and head up
3️⃣ 1min x 2 - keep back straight
4️⃣ 25x4 - keep your feet up and equal if you can
5️⃣ 10x3 - put weighted medicine ball on your feet if you struggle like me lol
p.s i did other workouts but was too nervous to record it in the more public area lol at Edmonton, Alberta
