To understand the name of the workout, you must read the workout Yes, I think I’m clever. 😜 • This is an idea of what I’m sharing daily with my grind & unwind wellness studio ladies. • I’m enjoying creating these. It feels good. • Yesterday I made a comment that I lost 25 lbs with the programs I utilize. And every time I mention that to people I get this question that I always forget to address: “how long did that take you?” • For me, it took 6 months. 2 months of one program where I lost 5 lbs. and then I did 2 months of another where I lost 10 lbs. THEN. I did the second program again because I loved it. • Here’s what you need to know: * I wasn’t perfect. * I ate better but i wasn’t 100%. I HAD to go cold turkey on chips and candy. Which got easier throughout those 6 months. * I did miss a couple of days, but I finished within a week of when I was supposed to. * I had accountability to get through it * I paid myself $1 for everyday I worked out - and I don’t even remember what I ended up doing with that money 🤣 * I started running again. When I started, I got winded and had to stop at about 1/2 mile. I now run 1 mile to warm up for my workouts * EVERYONE is different you have to do what is best for you * when you’re working out - BE THERE. You are going to be anyway, so you might as well enjoy it • If you complete my son of a B workout, tell me how it went! Because it's still #TransformationTuesday somewhere in this world! 2016 VS. 2018: ✨ As many of you know who's been here with me, through my fitness journey, from the start knows; it's been a road of ups and downs. ✨ It's been a grind to say the least. But in the name of being truthful, my progress has (and still is!) manageable, definite, tough, full of mistakes, full of successes but most of all ACHIEVABLE!! ✨ I spent a long time struggling with confidence, time-management as a single-mother with a toddler, and knowledge. IT’S WORKOUT WEDNESDAY! 🔥 Heres a lower body kettlebell circuit to target the legs (quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes). 1. Kettlebell squat. 2. Kettlebell stiff leg deadlift. 3. Kettlebell swing. Perform 12-15 reps of each exercise, make sure you choose an appropriate weight (between 8-16kg depending on your ability). Throw back to a good ARMS day 💪 While traveling, I’ve been slacking on my workouts due to little time, and lately, even getting a bit of a cold which makes me feel exhausted. In two weeks, I’ve went running 3 times and two abs workout in the room. If you know me, you know this is the minimum I’d do in a one week and I wouldn’t be too satisfied 😂 Here’s a nice arms session I did a while ago and didn’t share it with you yet. Sorry for the late post everyone! Been so busy!⁣ ⁣ Let's look at Day 1: Recognising Bad/poor Posture.⁣ ⁣ There are a few forms of bad posture (two are in the image above). All of them involve a protrusion of the hips, shoulders and head from the midline of the body.⁣ ⁣ The most commons signs to look for, in this case will be:⁣ ⁣ 1. Forward head carriage (head protruding forward)⁣ ⁣ 2.Slumped shoulders (they roll forward into your chest)⁣ ⁣ 3. Hunching back (also known as kyphosis is). Accompanies slumped shoulders and forward head carriage.⁣ ⁣ 4. Anterior pelvic tilt (Duck Bottom) where the back of your pelvis tilts to the forward position. All those booty selfies, where you push your butt back to make it look bigger, that's over curving your lower spine and causing anterior tilt.⁣ ⁣ 5. Posterior Pelvic tilt⁣ This is very common in men, and is where the front of the pelvic tilts toward the back of the body.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Heres a quick way, you can check to see if your posture needs some correcting.⁣ ⁣ Stand up, with your back against a wall.⁣ ⁣ Place your heels about 6 inches from the wall.⁣ ⁣ Your shoulder blades and buttocks should touch the wall.⁣ ⁣ To perform the posture test, place one hand behind the neck or lower back.⁣ ⁣ There should be less than 2 inches between the wall and your neck or back, if there are more, this indicates a curvung spine and a poor posture.⁣ ⁣ If this is you, not to worry! It can be remedied.⁣ ⁣ Today, take a moment and imagine, your head staked on top of your shoulders, chin level with the ground.⁣ Shoulder back, inline with your ears, and stacked over the hips.⁣ Your hips, inline with your shoulders, not poking back or forward, but nestles in the middle of your lower ribs, and stacked neatly on top of your knee and ankle joints. (see the middle image above) ⁣ ⁣ To help with better aligning the hips, imaging 'tucking' your tail one underneath your body. you will feel your lower abs activate, and your glutes squeeze a little.⁣ ⁣ Practice realigning your body, I find in the mirror helps, the more you do it, the more your understand what correct posture feels like, the quicker you can correct it.⁣ ⁣ Stay tuned for tomorrows instalment 👣🔥

I couldn’t sign into my virtual gym yesterday, but I had already taken my preworkout so I had to do something 😂😂. Even though I don’t really like to, I made up my own workout. The one I was *supposed* to do was 30 minutes long and would have been 10 mins of chest and bicep moves, 10 mins of HIIT, and 10 mins of core, so I tried to follow that format. Here’s what I did, with about 15-20 second break in between each move: 💪 HIIT (60 seconds each move) - high knees - grapevine shuffle - vertical jumps - butt kicks - alternating lunges - lateral shuffle - wide leg squat jumps 🏋️‍♀️ Lift (max reps 60 seconds each move) - horizontal chest press - bicep curl - push-ups - Hammer curl - incline fly - concentrated curl - wide push ups 😅 Core (60 seconds each) - bicycle crunches - sit and reach - leg raises - side plank crunches both sides - plank hold - circle crunches ✨ The only equipment I used were light/medium weights and my sofa as a bench.
