Week 6, Day 36. Yep, 36 days into this program. And this week, I'm checking my progress against my 1st week starting with today's workout. I remember where I was when I began. Wondering if 20 minutes a day could really work, unsure about what I would be doing with a step, could I even really use the step, would I be able to keep up.... so much going on in my head. The only thing I knew for sure is that I would try. I mean, that's all I could do, right. At least try. I couldn't fail. There was no way for me to fail if I tried. The failure would be in not trying. So I tried, and I succeeded. Every day, no matter how I felt, i succeeded because I tried. You get the point. Day 2️⃣4️⃣/42.Today’s workout was by far the worst solely because I almost tripped over my step, I collapsed while doing tricep push-ups (which are hard AF) and I only beat two of my transformers from last week. Why am I so hard on myself? Why am I sabotaging my hard work and discipline. This is all negative self talk. . I should be praising myself for showing up after being sick for 5 days, for continuing my workout program and not throwing in the towel and for showing up when I said I was. Needing an email easy, clean and delicious recipe for this week?! Try this honey mustard chicken with roasted sweet potatoes, zucchini, and onion! Recipe below:⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 2 medium red onion⠀ 2 medium zucchini⠀ 2 large sweet potatoes⠀ 2 cloves garlic⠀ 1 ounce honey⠀ 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard⠀ 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar⠀ 4 medium chicken breasts (about 24 ounces)⠀ ¼ cup fresh parsley leaves (for garnish)⠀ 4 tablespoons olive oil⠀ ⠀ Wash and dry all produce. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Halve, peel, and cut onion into ½-inch-thick wedges. Halve zucchini lengthwise, then cut into ½-inch-thick half-moons. Cut sweet potatoes into 1-inch cubes. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Place veggies on a baking sheet and toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Roast in oven until tender and lightly browned, 25-35 minutes. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Mince or grate garlic. In a medium bowl, whisk together garlic, honey, mustard, white wine vinegar, and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add chicken to bowl and toss to coat.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Heat a medium pan over medium-high heat (use an ovenproof pan if you have one). Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Sear in pan until no longer pink on surface, 2-3 minutes per side, brushing chicken with a bit of marinade as it cooks.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Pour any remaining marinade into pan with chicken. Or, if your pan isn’t ovenproof, transfer chicken and marinade to a small baking dish. Once veggies have roasted about 15 minutes, place pan with chicken in oven. Roast chicken until firm and no longer pink in center, 8-10 minutes. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Divide veggies and chicken between plates. Drizzle with any remaining marinade in pan. Hard work does pay off! I have lost 2 lbs since my weigh in, last Tuesday. Since January, I have lost 11.8 lbs. I am still able to eat what I want, but in moderation. And I have put more exercise into my routine, other than clogging. I have reached my goal, but I am going to make a new one. 💪💪

Facts, you don't do what's comfortable and expect to get to where you want to be. Whether it's a new house, higher paying job, new car, your own business, etc. You need to make sacrifices and go through some struggles to get to where you want to to be. You need to have the knowing that your going to make it; no matter what. I'm going through some things right now but it doesn't mean shit. Because I know the steps I am taking now are going to lead me to my destination 💯.
