Why do I post my workouts every single day and just share my life?
Why am I a coach?
Why do I do online programs instead of going to the gym?
I want to show you than you CAN do it. After starting college, I gained a good 20 pounds. (Over the course of 4 years.) between finally living in a place that delivers pizza until 3 am and developing all sorts of other bad habits to try to stay up later or eat something unhealthy for a quick meal, I was a mess. I used our local gym (and even lived above it!) but saw no results because all I ever did was run on the treadmill and attempt to use machines that I didn’t understand.
One day, my coach (@gettingtwiggywithit) reached out to me and asked if I was interested in joining the journey with her. I had watched her stories and seen her posts, and she was killing it.
I said I didn’t have time or money. College kids are #brokeashell.
She kept showing up. I kept watching. And after reaching out to me what must have been 10 times, I just jumped in.
Even when I first started, I was not committed enough. School was harder than ever and I had a puppy. But I did small things. I kept telling myself once school was over I was going all in.
And I did.
Summer rolled around and I was embarrassed to be in a swimsuit. I found myself avoiding going places that required me to wear something nicer than a t-shirt and leggings.
I knew it was time.
I pushed myself through T-20 and then started a 100-workout program, which I admit, I didn’t think I’d finish.
I found myself craving my workouts. I was actually toning muscle because the coaches told me exactly what to do. I lost 20 pounds this summer. Because I worked for it. From home.
So, I show up every day. To keep bettering myself. Because I now know I can.
I keep showing up because I know someday, you might decide you’re not afraid anymore. And I’m going to be there to help you ROCK your journey.
Prove everyone wrong because you CAN do it.
