Being an architect means you get to use yellow painted heavy machinery.
Geoffrey Bawa, bless him, once remarked to a friend (while inviting him for lunch the following day), to be prepared for his appearance, since he would be cutting trees and tending to his garden at #Lunuganga. The following morning, his friend arrived, expected to find a sweaty #Bawa hacking away at errant branches. Instead, he found Geoffrey seated below a parasol, a G&T in hand, instructing a team through a megaphone.
In our office though, the team isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty. These photos are from a project that is commencing and even Amit can’t resist going down to the foundation level for a closer look. A site without the base concrete seems full of possibilities and that is one of the great joys of being an #architect
