Digging deep can be a surprising journey. It’s been a interesting week and it’s times like these that help me notice all the beautiful new things that are happening in my existence. ✨
We are in the process of digging a new well for the farm [as well as Ma + Dad’s house, which – side note, is doubly as exciting since our old well had a ton of sulfur — fueling a battle to keep everything in the house from turning a shade of orange] which is something I don’t think I would have ever been so fascinated by.
This is sand gravel and limestone that bubbled to the surface and froze in the bitter cold. Having froze so quickly, the texture of stepping on it became indescribably satisfying and safer than the broad sheets of ice that had previously covered this earth. Not only that, it became such a beautifully detailed landscape that shone in the winter sun. Even as my hands were going numb taking a myriad of landscape shots, I was probably smiling like a complete dork.

This girl. @saintkaxx blew back into my life in London and has blessed me incredibly. What a warrior. What a friend. Love how the Lord has woven our lives back together and given us shared vision not to mention a lot of laughter.
Ghana. Lost one of my closest buddies this week. Cannot find it in my heart to post his photo yet but these are his workers, who were also close enough to be his brothers. And the portrait is another friend’s worker. Both are entrepreneurs. Each day brings memories, rich and deep, and pain that I will not laugh with again with my buddy on this precious Earth. Love you my brother. Forever remembered. #ghana#ghana🇬🇭 #ghanaian#welldigging#westafrica#africa#portraiture

Throwback to 2004 in Uganda 🇺🇬. More carefree days when travelling was easier to manage.
I spent almost a month in this beautiful country, hiking, kayaking, meeting local villagers and helping to dig a well in a rural community to supply clean safe water to the villagers.
Such a privilege to be part of such a a great project and to spend time with amazing people both on the project with me and in the community.
I hope to be able to take #isabelandmolly on such great #adventures when they are older. It would be lovely to go back and visit this amazing country 😊
