Today’s intention: Embrace the abundance that’s all around.
I know I mentioned just recently how much my everyday has changed as a result of setting my intention at the beginning of every morning (a much richer experience when you add in a cup of coffee to mull it all over). But seriously! 🙌🏻 Let me say it again.
This practice has helped me make healthier choices as the day wears on so I can live up to a higher standard that I’ve set for myself. A lot of this has fallen into place so naturally that I wonder why I haven’t started doing this sooner.
Sure, it’s one thing to think to yourself how you’d like the day to turn out and how you might anticipate it’s challenges, but it’s an entirely different thing when you take the time to ponder and anticipate what the day may need from you, and set goals accordingly.
After that, once you take a moment to write down your day’s intention and keep it within reach, it feels like you’re kind of writing it on your heart also.
Not only have I been setting daily intentions, I’ve also been keeping affirmations to go along with it (today: “I have the power to change my life”). The two really go hand in hand. Set backs, including the small, tiny ones that have a tendency to gnaw at you throughout the day, become easier to shrug off. For the most part.
