Yesterday I nipped down to my local woodland in trying to find compositions and in result pictures which represent an emotion or a story. I never really have embraced any photography in the woodlands before as this was my first proper attempt it was difficult to try and find a simple pleasing picture amongst all the beautiful chaos that forests have to offer. Trying to keep my eye simple either seeing the big picture of the Woodland scene or even the most intimate details was very difficult. This was one of the first shots which I was happy with on this morning adventure, as the sun finally rose about an hour after it's due anticipation, the light started to create vibrant spots of light in the woodland. In this picture named “Reach”, I really like the birch branch which has fallen over leading into the scene onto a colourful banking, almost reaching out to the other side and leads you into the Scene, alongside vivid greens and dark tones which I think really emphasizes the image quite well with the two contrasts. I'd like to start doing more woodland photography from time to time, because it really tests you as a photographer and unleashes creativity. So be sure to let me know what you think about this picture and the art of woodland Photographs.
