Fact: @quornsa products are a must have if you're transitioning into/back into a vegan diet 😍 Last night I made vegan spaghetti and meatballs using this plant based version and it was delicious. The balls didn't disintegrate, leave a powdery aftertaste or get soggy. HARD NO! - Creamy Roasted Tomato Soup 📸 by @bos.kitchen - Please ❤️ this post if you enjoyed it so others can see it 😊 - Follow me for more recipe ideas 🍽 @the_friendlycookie -- Ingredients 800g tomatoes 3 tbsp olive oil 4 garlic cloves, minced 2 white onions 2 red chilli, chopped (optional) salt and pepper - Instructions Preheat oven to 180•c. Slice tomatoes in half, place on a roasting tray cut side up and drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil. Roast in the oven for 25 mins, until browning at the edges. Slice and fry onion with remaining oil in a medium size pan over a moderate heat. Fry for 5-7 mins until soft. Add in garlic and chilli and stir for 2 mins, until fragrant. Add in roasted tomatoes, salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes. Using a stick or stand blender, process soup until smooth. Serve with coco yoghurt and crusty toast. at Nelson, British Columbia

There is no need to peel the potatoes.⠀ STEP 3⠀ Cut the potatoes into fry-shaped pieces (about 1/2 cm each). Try to cut them into similarly sized pieces. Add the potatoes to a large bowl.⠀ STEP 4⠀ Sprinkle cut potatoes with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika powder. Drizzle with olive oil. Toss everything together to coat.⠀ STEP 5⠀ Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray covered with baking paper. DIY Homemade pizza crust for all your favorite toppings by @nm_meiyee ❤️ Recipe:⠀ Ingredients Pizza dough:⠀ 2 cups all purpose flour or gluten-free flour⠀ 3/4 cup warm water⠀ 1 tsp raw cane sugar⠀ 1 tbsp olive oil⠀ 1 envelope active dry yeast⠀ ⠀ Mix water with the cane sugar, yeast, oil in a measuring cup and whisk until combined. Let sit for 2 minutes. ⠀ In a large mixing bowl combine the salt and flour and make a well in the centre. Pour the yeast mixture into the centre of mixing bowl and using a wooden spoon mix together to form a rough dough. Turn the dough out on lightly floured work surface and knead for 10 minutes or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Oil a large bowl with olive oil and place dough into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Leave the bowl in a warm place to rise until it has doubled in size. Preheat oven to 250 celsius/475F. Punch down the risen dough and roll out dough to 10 inch circle. Place rolled out pizza base on the large baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Remove baking sheet from the oven and spread the tomato sauce on your pizza crust, add the toppings and back to the oven bake for another 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. And enjoy straight away.⠀ Topping: jackfruit confit & tomato sauce.

First time trying @bellyworship_restaurant on dominion road this past weekend! Had this as a late lunch was so full afterwards that was the only thing we ate all day 🙃 honestly so yum! I got the vegan spiced tofu ‘chaco’ as well as the vegan dumplings which were amazing! Heath got the pork belly ‘churito’ and pork, shrimp & chive dumplings 🥢 such a funky place, you pay $3 for unlimited soft drinks and popcorn (?) and it’s all self service- bowls, plates, sauces etc. So cheap, fast & easy service, fresh and flavoursome food 😋 Deffs recommend trying it out if you’re in the area x

Тадададаааам!!🍔 Презентую Вам моё первое блюдо! 👏👏👏👏 Все мы любим вкусно покушать🤤 особенно когда вокруг так много разных кафе и ресторанов, от соблазна скушать чего-нибудь вредненького очень сложно удержаться🤐🤐🤐 🆘Я нашла спасение! Готовим сочный вегетарианский бургер дома👩‍🍳 Для начала испечём нежнейшие булочки🥯 Для этого нам понадобиться: ✔️ Кефир 0,5 ✔️ Сода 1,5 ч.л. ✔️ Соль 1 ч.л. ✔️ Растительное масло 4 ст.л ✔️ Мука ✔️Кунжут Кефир нужно либо заранее вынуть из холодильника и дать нагреться до комнатной температуры, либо подогреть его на плите ,только не перегреть. Когда кефир уже теплый гасим в нём соду и добавляем соль. Затем добавляем масло и хорошо перемешиваем! Следующий ингредиент,мука! Её мы добавляем до получения массы ,напоминающей , очень густую сметану) Выкладываем тесто в небольшие формочки ,предварительно смазанные маслом! Посылаем кунжутом и ставим в разогретую до 180° духовку на 30-40 минут, это зависит от вашего духового шкафа🙄 Пока булочки пекутся займёмся котлетками🤔 ✔️ Кортофель ✔️ Овсяные хлопья ✔️ Лук ✔️ Соль ✔️ Перец Все ингедиенты нужно брать в зависимости от желаемого количества котлет Картофель натираем на тёрке и добавляем к нему перемолотые в муку хлопья) в пропорции 1:1 добавляем мелко нарезанный репчатый лук,соль,перец и хорошо перемешиваем) что бы котлетки лучше лепились добавим немного растительного масла и воды! Формируем котлетки и обжариваем с двух сторон до хрустящей корочки😋👌 Соус: Ну тут можно конечно экспериментировать 🤪 Вот один из ✔️ Томатная паста ✔️ Сметана ✔️ Чеснок ✔️ Соль,перец ✔️ Мелко порубленая зелень☘️ Всё смешиваем и Воооуля! 👏 Собираем наш бургер! These have been one of my household’s favourite go-to meal !🍽😋⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Dosa is a simple , easy to make , appetizing and nutritious dish. It’s a fermented, low carb-high protein food, packed with fiber and natural probiotics. And what’s more , it’s VEGAN and GLUTEN FREE as well 😋🍛⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Dosa is one such food item that’s extremely appetizing and relatively light, made from rice , lentils and other spices , adding low calories in your body. It's a healthy choice to overcome obesity.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ A properly made crisp and savory Indian dosa is fairly simple to make, with this caveat: after grinding, the batter must be fermented overnight or for at least 8 hours for the correct texture and requisite sour flavor. Delicious MOONG DAL TADKA🍛😋⁣⁣⁣⁣ Sometimes the most humble looking recipes are the most delicious! ⁣Even though this is the most common dish in my Indian cuisine, it enjoys an iconic place due to its distinct taste and aroma.⁣⁣⁣⁣ Ease your soul with food like dal tadka and chapati which are packed with all the goodness of protein rich lentils.🍛😋⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Recipe below 👇🏻⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ INGREDIENTS:⁣⁣⁣⁣ For the dal:⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 cup moong dal⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹½ inch ginger, crushed⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 onion, finely chopped⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 to mato, finely chopped⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹2 tsp garlic, crushed⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 tsp turmeric powder⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 tsp red chilli powder⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹cilantro , chopped⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 tsp coriander powder⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹salt to taste⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ For tempering:⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸2 tsp oil ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸1 tsp mustard seeds⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸1 tsp cumin seeds⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸3 red chilies, dried⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸pinch of asafoetida⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸½ tsp red chilli powder⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸½ tsp garam masala powder⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸few curry leaves⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ INSTRUCTIONS:⁣⁣⁣⁣ For dal tadka:⁣⁣⁣⁣ 1. Pressure cook 1 cup of moong dal with 4 cups of water for 20 mins.⁣⁣⁣⁣ 2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and saute onions till they turn golden brown.⁣⁣⁣⁣ 3. Add crushed garlic , ginger, chopped tomatoes ,red chilli powder , turmeric and coriander powder and fry without burning the spices.⁣⁣⁣⁣ 4. Now add in cooked daal and mix well ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 5. Add salt to taste.⁣⁣⁣⁣ 6. Adjust the consistency by adding required water.⁣⁣⁣⁣ 7. Soft and crispy Dosa 🍛🍽⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ There's probably nothing more sublime and delicious in my South Indian cuisine than crispy dosa. These have been one of my household’s favourite go-to meal !🍽😋⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ Dosa is a simple , easy to make , appetizing and nutritious dish. It’s a fermented low carb-high protein food, packed with fiber and natural probiotics. And what’s more , it’s VEGAN and GLUTEN FREE as well 😋🍛⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Dosa is one such food item which is extremely appetizing and relatively light, made from rice , lentils and other spices , adding low calories in your body. It's a healthy choice to overcome obesity.⁣ ⁣⁣ A properly made crisp and savory Indian dosa is fairly simple to make, with this caveat: the batter must be fermented overnight for the correct texture and requisite sour flavor. . South African Gatsby Sandwich (Serves 4) . Please try this amazing sandwich on the weekend. Along with the vegetable laksa recipe, this is another top recipe that you must try. It is worth the effort. I can imagine a sandwich like this doing well in NYC (if it hasn’t already made its way there). . Ingredients . A) 3/4 cup of fresh basil leaves, chopped finely 1 brown onion, diced 3 cloves garlic minced 1 1/2 tablespoons tamari 1/2 teaspoon sage 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 300 grams firm tofu (crumble with fingers) 1/2 teaspoon olive oil . B) 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chips 1/2 red onion, cut into bite size pieces A few dashes of pepper A dash of salt A few dashes of onion powder A few dashes of garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon olive oil . C) 1/4 cup cashews 1/2 cup plant-based milk 1/2 cup vegetable broth 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast 1/2 tablespoon wholemeal flour Juice of 2 lemon wedges A few dashes of pepper A handful of chives, chopped . D) 4 lettuce leaves, chopped 1 gherkin, sliced 8 pieces of sun dried tomatoes, cut into bite size pieces (you can use traditional regular tomato for a subtler flavour but the family vote goes to sun dried tomato) 4 tablespoons of homemade chilli sauce, tomato sauce, or barbeque sauce 8 slices of wholemeal bread (toasted) . Method . Mix A) together well and transfer to oven for 30 minutes @ 175 C, mix again at halfway point while in the oven. . Mix B) together and transfer to oven for 20 minutes @ 210 C. . Blend C) together (except chives). Stir in chives. Heat vegan cheese sauce in a pot until it thickens. . Assemble A), B), C), and D) together. . Thank you for the best sandwich in the world. . Tofu Bolognese With Vegetables (Serves 4) . Ingredients . A) 200 grams of cooked pasta . B) 4 cup mushrooms, halved 1/2 red capsicum, cut into bite size pieces 1/2 green capsicum, cut into bite size pieces 6 brussel sprouts 1/2 butternut pumpkin, peeled and cut into bite size pieces A few dashes of onion powder A few dashes of garlic powder A few dashes of pepper A few dashes of cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon olive oil . . C) 200 grams tofu, mashed 1/2 brown onion, peeled and diced 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 1/2 teaspoon sage 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 tablespoon tamari 1 green chilli, deseeded and diced A small handful of basil leaves, finely chopped . D) 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 1/2 brown onion, peeled and diced 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 200 grams cherry tomatoes, diced 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon thyme 1/2 teaspoon rosemary A small handful of basil leaves, finely chopped A small handful of parsley, finely chopped 1/2 cup vegetable broth A few dashes of pepper . Method . Mix B) and transfer to oven 200 C for 30 minutes. . Mash C) together well. . For D), heat oil and cook onion and garlic along with C). When the tofu starts to brown a little, add the rest of the ingredients from D). Cook until tomatoes are soft. Remove from heat. Stir in A) and B). . So yummy and you don’t feel heavy in the tummy afterwards. The grounded sage in the tofu gives it a lovely flavour. . Made with all the leftover vegetables in the fridge. . Italian Fried Rice (Serves 4) . Ingredients . 1 teaspoon cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil 1 brown onion, peeled and diced 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 100 grams grape tomatoes, chopped 400 grams cooked cannellini beans, washed and drained 4 cup mushrooms, sliced 1/2 red capsicum, diced 1 bunch broccolini, stems removed 6 olives, pitted and halved 2 tablespoons of sun dried tomatoes, chopped 2 spring onion leaves, chopped A handful of fresh basil leaves, chopped 1 teaspoon of parsley, chopped A dash of salt A few dashes of pepper A few dashes of cayenne pepper Approximately 1 1/2 cups leftover 1-3 day old cooked rice . Method . Heat oil and cook onions and garlic until onion is translucent. Add grape tomatoes and cook until soft. Add beans and cook for a minute. Add the rest of the vegetables, herbs, and spices. Cook until broccolini turns a dark green and mushrooms darken. Add the rice and mix well. Serve. . This was another cooking experiment that went right. A) 250 grams cooked pasta . B) 5 cup mushrooms, halved 1/2 red capsicum, cut into bite size pieces 1/4 butternut pumpkin, peeled and cut into bite size pieces 8 brussel sprouts A few dashes of pepper A few dashes of onion powder A few dashes of garlic powder A few dashes of cayenne pepper A few dashes of paprika 1 teaspoon olive oil . C) 1/2 cup plant-based milk 2 1/2 cups vegetable broth 4 tablespoons of nutritional yeast 2 tablespoons of wholemeal flour . D) 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 onion, peeled and diced 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 1 bunch of broccolini, stems removed 7 green beans, sliced 400 grams cooked black eye and pinto beans, and chickpeas, washed and drained . Method . Mix B) on baking tray and transfer to oven for 30 minutes @ 200 C. . Blend C) . For D), heat oil and cook onions and garlic until onion is translucent. Add broccolini and cook until dark green along with green beans. Add mixed beans and cook for a minute. Add blended C), roasted B), and A). Stir well and serve. .
