What a feeling it must have been for that paddleboarder to look up and see a flock of birds soaring in V formation directly above and in the exact same direction as him. -
I pulled up over a ridge just in time to snap this shot. Sometimes everything in life lines up and you’re lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. This was one of those times for me, everything lined up to help make these shots exist; the right time of day, the perfect location, the best company, the full moon, the right amount of whiskey..
It’s amazing to see evolution in action and to think that somehow this species of birds figured out that flying in V formation is the most energy efficient way for them to fly. -I read that they use up to 30% less energy when flying this way. -
No photoshop used in the creation of these images. Big thanks to @caroline.carney@firstname.lastname@example.org and nick mcnaughty for another epic Powell trip and for being willing to wait while I stopped to take photos. A special s/o to John W. Powell on this day at Utah
It’s a feeling like no other. The frequencies flowing through your bones, the crowd synced. No matter what else is going on in the world, at that moment everyone is on the same page and it’s perfect. We’re here because we live for live music and we’re so glad you’re with us for the ride. at Soundwell SLC
Today my Junior in High School had to interview me and ask me@questions about parenthood. I should have shared this list with her 😂!

I could get used to this view.
Woke up this morning to the birds singing outside our room at the Zion Lodge.
Enjoyed a hot cup of chai tea and my morning meditation with this view.
It was so hard to leave this view but thankfully we enjoyed an entire day of exploring this amazing National Park.
Do you have a favorite National Park site? at Zion Lodge, Utah

Moody weather calls for a moody post! On our 100 mile trip of beating the hell out of our rigs in Canyonlands, the trail started to hug the canyon and provided INCREDIBLE views of the overlooks and the spring storm. So, naturally, I had to get the FJ as close to the edge as comfort would provide and grab a few shots. 😎 🤷🏼♂️ A muddy trip for sure, but definitely one of the best.
Back in 2016 when it was my first time on the salt lake. It had just rained and the sun was nowhere to be found. I spent an hour walking in the mud and was hoping the sun would come out for something spectacular. Suddenly the clouds lit up and I had a few minutes to take some pictures. This is one of the unedited ones.
