This weekend we were in Falmouth working on the early stages of a project that we’re so thrilled to be a part of and that we can’t wait to talk about some more. We wandered off to shoot some test footage, and you won’t be able to tell from these images how stormy it was but believe me, it was bad. The wind was battering against us, blowing down our hoods, and the sea was hissing and spitting ice cold droplets in our faces as we dared to get closer. The moored boats were being thrown back and forth by the waves, and even as we stood gripping the handles of the camera tight we could feel our knuckles growing white and the skin on our cheeks turned red and felt raw as March fought against us. But we marched forwards, cameras and umbrellas in hand, determined to get the perfect shot. And that, right there, is why we do what we do here at Route Nine Studios. We don’t do the best we can with what we’ve got, we produce the best despite what we don’t have. In this case, we didn’t have a gorgeous day or easy weather conditions. But we had a determination and a need to create something. So, camera in hand, we did. And that’s what we mean when we say we are Films Driven By Story.
