This is mostly an opinion piece, and as such, I suspect there are quite a bit of varying opinions out there about cutting weight for a competition. — In general, it’s probably not a great idea for a beginner (or someone who is just new to competition) to be cutting any sort of weight for a competition. Show up at the weight you weigh. Do your best. Enjoy the process. — I think for folks who have been competing for a while and are competitive in their weight class, it’s reasonable to diet down to competition weight. It’s a safe method and, depending on amount of weight loss, most people can maintain the majority of their strength. — The real issue comes with drastic weight cuts or what the literature mostly refers to as Rapid Weight Loss (>5% of body weight loss over the course of a week or less). — This is mostly achieved by water manipulation that starts with a “water load” phase, followed by a dehydration phase, again followed by a “reload” phase. Depending on the amount of water manipulation, this can be quite dangerous due to electrolyte disturbances. It can also lead to rather profound decreases in performances. — If your goal is to have a fun meet and hit some PRs, any sort of weight cut probably isn’t necessary. If you’re pretty competitive in your weight class and want to do well, plan ahead (at-least a month) and diet down to competition weight. I recently starting using the @rpstrength app for my nutrition. I started weighing about 183lbs with the goal of putting on about 10lbs. — I’ve honestly been surprised at how much food I’ve been eating. And even more surprised at how much protein I WASN’T eating before. — My current macros are 195g protein, 100g fat, and 370g carbs. — This is about what a typical meal looks like for me. I’m a big fan of “eating for performance, not for taste” but that doesn’t mean all of your meals have to taste like a dirty butthole. Finding ways to make healthy foods taste good has been an important factor for me in being able to stick to a plan. — I do seem to be struggling with the volume of food though. Im a big baby and get full too quick. Tren Profile — ⬇ Tren Profile — Tren (Trenbolone) Tren is a Nandrolone Derivative that exhibits some wildly unique characteristics to other AAS compounds. Tren inhibits the binding of T4 throughout the body slowing the process of Catabolism. If the body rarely enters a Catabolic state then it remains in an Anabolic state. As the Metabolic processes slow the Ammonium uptake by muscle tissue is increased NH4 or Ammonium spikes the blood Nitrogen levels creating a highly conducive environment for Protein Synthesis. Tren also is capable of binding to Sexual Receptors without converting to similar sterols like DHT. This results In a huge bump in sexual desire. Unfortunately, Tren spikes Progesterone and Prolactin rapidly in the body. This can cause the system to shut down leaving you without Libido, or Nipples Dripping, Moody, Agitated, Sleepless, Angry, Night Sweats and Nightmares on high doses. Because Tren inhibits Oxygen from traveling freely in the Bloodstream, hitting a vein while injecting will lead to a wild cough (Tren Cough) that may feel like very uncomfortable. Rapid conversion of Tren can lead to Acne issues as well as Hair Loss. (Tren Acne can be massive pussy abscesses or zit clusters covering a large area on your body). Prolonged use of Tren is strongly not advised. Tren can destroy your Kidneys due to the way it is Metabolized and released via the Kidneys as Toxic Sulfates. Tren Ace has a 24 hour peak 36-48 half-life Tren Enanthate has a 14 day peak and a 72 hour half-life. Tren Hex has a 12 day peak and a 7 day half-life. Hex can cause Proliferation of Progesterone as it mimics Progesterone in the system without shutting down production. Side affects can include Lethargy and Weight Gain. Tren is the second strongest AAS, 5 times more potent than Test, but sits distantly behind MENT which is roughly 20-25 times more potent than Test making it 5 times more potent than Tren. However Tren keeps its place because of the Anger and Aggression spike and the “feel” of it. Tren also is less likely to cause Infertility from short term use.

Been doing this guys programming for several months and coached him in a meet today. Draik hit a 176 lb pr on his total today. This guy put in the work every single day and never complained a bit. I went into the workout wanting to hit 205, and I actually did my math wrong when pyramiding up, so I thought I was hitting 195 for my last warm up set when in reality it was actually 205 😂 so I did it without a spotter and it went up pretty easily. Anything like this ever happen to u? 🤦🏽‍♂️ - I’ve been benching for about six months, but a lot of that time was spent training suboptimally so I’m excited to see how many lbs I can put on the bar by the end of this bulk with my new program.
