TARGET MARKET PROFILING
We know how important defining our target market is, but have you ever taken it a step further and created unique customer profiles? Target market profiling is one of my favourite exercises to run through with my clients 🤗
Honing in on exactly who your customer/client is is key to communicating to your target market effectively. If your target market is female aged 25-45 who lives in the GTA, ask yourself a few more questions about her, create multiple profiles, and then name them.
- How old is she?
- What does she do for fun?
- Does she go to the gym? Where?
- Where does she go out for lunch/ dinner?
- What types of vacations does she take?
- Where does she shop? - Does she have kids?
Now, create a Pinterest board for each client profile with all of their favourite things within each board.
I have three client profiles: Haleigh, Sarah and Lisa. If I'm ever stuck on how something looks or how I'm communicating, I can go back to this board and think, OK would this resonate with Haleigh, Sarah or Lisa? I'll sometimes edit their boards too, just like my own personal Pinterest board, it's always evolving!
