Slow, pruny, and happy 🤗✌️ I’ve hit a bit of a plateau/rut in my fitness journey lately so I’m trying to mix up my workouts more while researching & exploring my options. I do things much better when I do them slowly and thoughtfully. Despite “slow” and “thoughtful” being against all my first instincts and natural inclinations, approaching any change of routine with a degree of mindfulness (and a lot of internet research) keeps me from t-swifting too hard in any area of my life. #soitsgonnabeforever 💝 #oritsgonnagodowninflames 🔥 = basically my approach to everything 🤷🏻♀️ but I’m working on it.
So, after touring an equinox with a pool recently and barely making it out of the building without putting a credit card down, I thought maybe I should get back in the water to think it over.
I’m a pretty slow swimmer and I was completely exhausted after 30 minutes, but I do love the forced breath-to-movement rhythm of swimming and the time to think. Also, I have never tracked my laps on an #AppleWatch before! It was so nice to totally forget about counting time or laps. 🏊🏼♀️🧜🏻♀️🧘🏻♀️ What are your favorite ways to mix up your workouts?
