I spent the day with my daughter’s class and was all 🤪 when I got home (mad props to all you teachers #notallheroeswearcapes). I had actually decided I’d take a rest day. Transformation Thursday? It might not be the biggest transformation but I’ve never been happier, healthier, or more comfortable in my own skin. I’ve worked a 12 hour shift so there’s been no workout or walk for me today and all my food has looked a little unappetising and been eaten out of Tupperware boxes 😂 I take lots of food with me because I get so hungry and it keeps me going when I’m getting tired. I think I would need a rest day today anyway as my legs are so sore after yesterday’s workout, I haven’t ached this much in a long time, but eating chocolate seems to ease the pain a little 😉 Hope you’ve enjoyed the sunshine today girls, what have you been up to?

I call today's workout "oh shit, all the college kids are home and in the gym now!" The gym has been MOBBED this week and it has been really difficult to get a BBG stronger workout in. Apparently people don't appreciate me claiming a machine for 30 minutes so i can use it 4 times 😂 Fortunately, i feel like i have learned so much from the #sweatapp that I was able to put something together on my own. I used the #pwr layout for a back and biceps workout based on what i could get to. Side note: i had no idea i counted out loud or made so many faces!! I found myself in a very weird headspace last night. ⠀ Rarely do I ever get upset about the number I see on the scale. From years of fluctuation and body composition changes, I know that it really doesn’t matter. But, when I saw that number last night and weeks of inconsistency, I let it steer me to a negative direction. ⠀ Here are some things I did do to make myself feel better after a few minutes of wallowing. ⠀ I immediately went to the gym to get a good 40 minute session in. I needed to sweat my frustration out so I did. The norm for me these days is to go be social and drink wine but obviously that would make me feel shittier so I didn’t. ⠀ I meal prepped all my food for today. Healthy, tasty, and filled with different ingredients so I don’t get bored (I’ll post on stories). ⠀ Did my goals for this week and June. I’m working with my coach next week to seriously hold me accountable. Enough eating like an asshole. ⠀ Will be implementing new types of cardio (boxing) and more stretches/yoga. I’m also changing my diet slowly (more plant based). This soul needs change and I’m getting really excited to cultivate new habits. ⠀ I’m sick of going back and forth from clean eating then just forgetting everything on the weekend. ⠀ I really do want to have a different relationship with alcohol and food, get better at being more moderate and not so 0 to 100. ⠀ On the creative front, I have a few projects I’m working on and can’t wait to reveal them one by one. ⠀ On my commute to work this morning. I STRUGGLED today. I did not have a great mindset, and I know I am the only person with the ability to change that around. Arms and Abs done✔✔💪💪🔥🔥. Thats all resitance plus the optional resistance done for the week!! It will be a rest day tomorrow and then maybe a gym sesh on Saturday or Sunday. Just finished Arms & Abs for week 8 BBG Stronger In the #sweatapp. I think I’ve seen more progress these weeks since I started with the app than a whole year going to the gym and doing random machines/exercises. Down 13 kg since giving birth. That’s about 28 lbs. I think I gained more weight after the birth than during because I was pretty much immobile for months after. #pwrprogress slow and steady because this is how long lasting habits are created. ➰Week 4, 6 and 8 from left to right! Not the biggest physical transformation out there, but I’m not doing this to compare myself to others or for the aesthetics. In fact I barely took any photos because #mumlife and how I felt was more important to me than how I looked. ➰I related to @kelseywells journey and how exercise helped with her PN anxiety and it has definitely helped with my PND and anxiety. I deliberately curved out exercise time and committed to PWR because I knew my mindset and lifestyle had to change for myself and my family. ➰It’s not “me first”, but “me too”. BBG Beginner Week 2 + Meal Plan 🥗 Not gonna lie, when I first saw how much food (specifically produce) I needed to buy to follow along with the #bbg #mealplan for just ONE WEEK, I had a minor panic-laugh attack in the grocery store 😅😅😅. I really thought it was impractical and excessive. But it ended up being less expensive than I anticipated (less than $150) and despite eating 4-5 meals a day, I don't feel over full and am ready to eat again by the next snack or meal time 🥪. I'm about halfway through my first week on the meal plan and the biggest challenge is just how much time I have to dedicate each day to feeding myself. I am lucky I work from home, for those who work in an office I'd recommend doing as much meal prep as you can at the beginning of the week to cut down on cook time/prep time during the weekdays. The time requirements can become overwhelming pretty quickly! 🕛🕧🕐 (reese's eggs were an addition courtesy of my fiancé Tom who I guess has made it his sole mission to make sticking to this meal plan as challenging as possible for me) . . . #sweatapp #bbgmeals @kayla_itsines #bbgcommunity

I managed to get all my LISS & stretch recoveries in last week while traveling, but slacked on my resistance trainings. ⠀ ⠀ This has led me to go down the rabbit hole I always end up finding in my fitness journeys. I struggle with the all or nothing mindset. 🤯 It was only 7 days that I didn’t stick to a general plan. Arm day! 💪🏼⚡️For me this is the workout I have the hardest time with. Ab day is the easiest and leg day is definitely hard but arm day always has me like jello after🥵It’s a good thing for sure since it’s seems to be working! What are your favorite resistance workouts?
