I decided this week to switch from the bro split to the scientific split. Today was #backandbiceps with all sets being #supersets It consisted of wide grip lat pulldowns with incline dumbbell curls. T-bar rows with reverse grip easy bar curls. Bent over rows (land mine and single arm) with straight bar curls. Finally straight arm lat pulldowns with hammer curls. I'm excited to see what kind of progress I can get from this and can't wait to see the gains. Lift safe, have fun and stay strong!💪

My sumo squats superset was so long I had to split the video into two videos and speed them up lol. Because I only took about a 30 to 45 second break in between the two videos, I was exhausted and burning out in the second video. I even fumbled the 35 lb dumbbell in the second video 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I kept going 💪🏾! 😤💪🏾 At the end, I swear the debating and hesitating went on forever in my mind even though it was really only about 10 seconds. Luckily the voice in my head, saying "push harder" was MUCH louder than the voice telling me to give up. Day 36 in pursuit of greatness. Added a few poses to ;) . . Today was a very heavy chest and back day. I went outside of my high rep comfort zone to hit a bodyweight #pr with 2 sets of 5 at 315. Last time I was at this weight I could only hit 315 for 4 and was gassed. So I have gotten stronger and I have more stamina than I used to for sure. My goal is to maintain size, but still increase in strength for my upper body..so by keeping my reps higher, using the average weight on the medium to low end (usually with one or two exercises that are heavier), and by including more compound and functional movements to quickly fatigue the muscles, they will develop strength but not dramatically increase in size. I remember being too slow, too small, too weak, and too over looked. Some said I’d be luck if I made practice squad, some said I’d be lucky to even make a squad. All I could think about was proving them wrong but nothing was going my way. All I could say was “God, why haven’t you gave me my moment. I strapped my pulse monitor on at 12:45pm. I warmed up at @snapleduc on the Jacobs ladder for 12 minutes, did a quick leg session #supersets. Went upstairs to @9roundleduc for 30 minutes of full body kickboxing training, Did 300 hundred sit-ups after that and worked my butt off giving the killer workout to our members!!! Love me some back and shoulder days! ESPECIALLY when they’re followed by a glorious deep tissue massage! Today i upped my partial deadlift weight by 50lbs (total of 185lbs) and im supper proud to say i did 3 sets of 10 followed by 2 sets of 12 with 155lbs. This helps strengthen my lower back (where the fibromyalgia is prominent in my body). I also did a few new cable exercises that @laurensimpson had posted the other day which i am absolutely LOVING! ✅✅ Day 4 of SMASH & Burn❕Though I do enjoy the heavy leg workout on day 1, this Lower Body Pump is challenging, sweaty, and gives me such a great feeling of accomplishment when I'm done! I really work on my form and progressions with these exercises. (You can see me alter form in some videos as I'm always trying to improve.) . . ✅Check out these two supersets from SMASH & Burn Day 4: 1. Bulgarian split squat w/physio ball & DB RDL 3x8-10 2. Goblet squat & Split-leg DL 3x10-12 . . ✴️✴️To progress correctly, start with a weight or resistance that you can just lift at the lower end of the rep range. Increase the number of reps with that weight until you can comfortably lift it at the high end of the rep range. THEN, increase the weight/resistance and repeat the process! Track the reps and weight you lift so you can progress correctly each week. Back & Biceps . I am so freaking stoked on this new split that I started this week! Was definitely time to switch up my routine & get my body out of its rut/funk whatever the hell the last month has been. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #rollercoaster Sometimes a new routine is exactly what you need to get back in the grove of things & feeling back to yourself. I am doing a push-pull-leg-HIIT split! Will definitely keep you guys in the loop on what I learn, if I continue to like it, if my body responds well to it ext. No matter what if you are in a funk like I was then switch something up in your routine, change up reps/sets, nutrition workout split. Anything to shake your body up from the norm & get it excited again! Your body will reward you I promise! . Workout-did 4 sets of everything today lifting heavy so 8-10 rep max focus on squeezing those muscles don’t just go through the motions. ✨Reminder guys my workouts are an hour or less. 99.5% of the time unless I’m with Trevor on a weekend! I workout on my lunch break so if your in need of quick but tough workouts make sure to hit save for next time! 😊 . Video 1:Back 1️⃣Deadlift row-deadlift up then row at the top 2️⃣Single arm row-get that elbow behind you core tight . Video 2:Back-superset 1️⃣Lat pull down with extra squeeze (half rep) 2️⃣Single arm cable row-STRETCH your arm all the way out in front of you to get the full stretch on your lats & hold the contraction & squeeze . Video 3: Biceps 1️⃣Supinated cross body curl-palms up 2️⃣Pronate cross body curl-palms down 3️⃣Bicep curl outwards like a W ~those three are a triple set 4️⃣Incline dumbbell curls superset w/👇🏼 5️⃣Drag curl burn out . Honestly just been enjoying lifting weights lately & seeing what my body is capable of. I have a wonderful leg day for you guys tomorrow that I did on Sunday and my booty is still sore so keep an eye out tomorrow for that!

DB lateral raises -> DB shoulder press (Superset Finisher)⁣⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣⁣ After doing my heavy shoulder workouts, I often like to drop the weight and bang out some reps.⁣⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣⁣ Lateral raises are one of my favorite workouts when trying to target my deltoids.⁣⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣⁣ I typically train my shoulders the same day as I do my chest.
