• funday 💃🏽 hamstrings this early (quiet) morning, I was tired but ready to get some decent work in: 🔹5min banded stair master, hip mobility 🔸5sets: abduction into partials (12-15+5reps) 🔸5sets: heavy plate-loaded hyperextensions (10-12reps); last one dropped 🔸4sets: sumo deadlifts, resetted at 255lbs (6reps) 🔸4+3sets: paused lying leg curls with slow eccentrics, dropsetted to regular ones (8-10drop10reps) + regular sets (12-15reps); last one double dropped 🔸4sets: dropsetted heavy paused abduction (12-15drop10reps); then a couple high rep sets 🔸5sets: db RDLs with constant tension and negatives (10-12reps); 70lb db 🔸4+3sets: single leg seated leg curls (12-20reps per side) + bilateral ones (15-20reps); last dropsetted with isometrics holds and partials to failure 🔸4sets: banded cable pull-throughs (12-15reps) 🔹machine hip thrusts and highreps abduction to failure deadlifts not super clean, but acceptable as I was three exercises in (including heavy lowback work) already & planned on pulling just 205lbs for technique sets first 🙃 I love burning my hams out before doing a heavy RDL, eliminating the type 2 fibers to get to the big guys - some single leg curls after to balance out my weaker side & some lighter finishing exercises 👌🏽 high energy throughout, mentally all in, horse-blinders on = feeling like myself again. Pre-workout session rant: We can MENTALLY cutoff ourselves from achieving goals, meeting objectives, or possible opportunities.... Extreme comparison, but true... Ask yourself, who or what’s stopping you?? Is there some sign posted in front of you labeled “NO GOALS ALLOWED 🛑🚫”? Are yours goals set on a timer to where the “goal-meter” shuts off after a certain time in the day?
