There’s something so special about capturing couples who’ve been together for 10+ years. (And there’s a completely different special-ness about new + young love!) When we see couples who’ve been together for almost half their lifetime, there’s this unique depth to their love, that only comes with spending so many years together. This unwavering sense of calm + comfort + complete trust + the deepest kind of friendship. As photographers we have this amazing privilege of being invited into couples stories. We get to hear the ins and outs of the highs and the lows that they’ve grown through together. We get to plan an incredible date night for them, where they get to just be themselves, have FUN, laugh together, and reminisce over memories. We get to hear about the life they’ve built together, and of their dreams for the future.
We just adore getting to know each couples story, it’s one of our absolute favourite parts of being photographers. We get to see the real + raw them, and have the privilege of being let in to their circle for the short time that our lives overlap. These two reminded me how freaking special it is that we get to give them the gift of these memories preserved forever, and in the end it really feels like we’re the ones getting the gift of even knowing them in the first place. ❤️ at Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia
