Last week I went to a really amazing event with @bewellmel in Nashville and she guided us through meditation and techniques to create vision boards.
I’m actually a huge fan of vision boards, and have even done my own events online in The Happy Love Project Facebook Group to create digital ones.
This one though... is a piece of art! And... as always, when you are open to it, the universe gives you what you need to hear.
Recently, I have been struggling with “fun” and I brought the topic up in therapy. My therapist asked me, “what did you do for fun when you were little?” I couldn’t remember.
So I asked my mom, just before going to the vision board event, what I loved to do for fun when I was little.
Both of us immediately remembered that I played with Barbies. And that I loved HER vintage Barbie. The one with the striped bathing suit. That Barbie was a treasure that lived in a special box in my mama’s closet and I could play with it on special occasions.
Two hours after reminiscing with my mom, that same Barbie was staring up at me from a random magazine page. So, of course she had to be highlighted on my vision board to represent a return to fun. 💕
This summer, I am focusing on fun. Like real, honest to goodness FUN.
Tony, the boys and I are all creating our list of fun things to do. So far it has ranged from going to Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, to making ice cream, to drinking flavored water, to having water balloon fights, to making sand castles on the beach, to cooking meals, to seeing Hamilton in NYC.
