🌸Gående meditation🌸 En guidad meditation som går att göra när du promenerar. En helt ny upplevelse för mig och såå bra! 😊 . Häromdagen skulle jag möta upp en vän för promenad och var lite tidig. Hade haft en stressig dag och kände mig rätt så ur fas. Jag tänkte att det kanske skulle hjälpa att lyssna på en meditation, medan jag gick, och denna dök upp som förslag. ➡️ (Appen heter Insight Timer). Så jag testade. Lyssnade till mina andetag. La märke till hur det kändes i fötterna när jag gick. Provade att slå av lite på tempot. . Detta var precis vad jag behövde där och då. Och jag tänker att det är en meditationsform som är enkel att få in i vardagen. Åtta minuter är ett extra varv runt parkeringen på jobbet istället för att direkt rusa upp och byta om till jobbkläderna. När jag lärt mig tekniken kan jag göra det närhelst jag går någonstans. När det är lugnt på jobbet - två minuters medveten promenad på kontoret. Lite här och lite där. . Jag tror att en väldigt viktig del i välbefinnande är yoga och meditation och att det gäller att hitta den form som funkar i alla olika delar av livet. Lite är bättre än inget. Hi, hello 👋🏻 I’ve decided to restart this account and get back on track! I am more determined than ever to get my health back on track after neglecting it for too long 🙃 Little back story, a year ago I began to suffer from ibs like symptoms and began to notice that it was somewhat linked to my contraceptive pill, I eventually decided to stop taking it about 6 months ago. Although I’ve noticed a huge difference in “symptoms” I am still not 100%, I am now positive that it’s linked to potentially some form of anxiety or because I’ve spent the last year constantly worrying about it/ dealing with, it has turned into a daily part of my life. I’ve tried to seek medicinal help/ advice and haven’t got very far/ haven’t really been taken too seriously so I am doing everything I possibly can to really try and get myself better. I will have days/ weeks where I am fine and then an odd day where I am not but the stress it causes me on the daily is just ridiculous. I cannot and will not spend the rest of my life in this mindset or feeling so low because of it 👊🏻💪🏼 I want to use this account to seek advice/ document (more for myself than anything) my journey to a healthy and happy self. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I can’t believe I got to the point that I did in the pic on the left. I’m having a really funny time over here tonight. The pic on the left was back in October and at the HEIGHT of my alcohol abuse. And I tried everything except quitting drinking. All I can say is HOLY SHNICKS!! I quit drinking for the first time about a week later. I started up again after the holidays (those damn holidays always get you!) and I went a little heavy once again. I gave up alcohol again for lent and just drank again last night. I enjoyed the buzz but once again my control was anything but stellar. I went to bed already feeling shitty and most of today feeling the same and so so tired. Normally I would’ve bought a bottle of something and told myself to finish out the weekend but I have no desire. This is huge for me. I’m proud of myself. I won’t be perfect but I sure will do my best. I will never go back to the girl on the left. Besides the weight gain, extreme hormone imbalance, terrible skin and hair, I was absolutely miserable. I hated myself and everyone around me. I hated my life. I wondered why life was so easy for others and not me. I regularly thought about what it would be like to die. Funny because I’m a nurse and I know it’s final and over but that’s how I knew I was crying out for help. Not because I wanted to die but I wanted the alive equivalent and I think I was pretty good at succeeding. I was a very high functioning alcohol abuser but I had quite the temper and mood instability. I now recognize the importance of your biology affecting your psychology (thanks to therapy 🙏🏻-talk about life saving...). Now that I don’t really drink, I cook and eat much more healthy food. I hardly order carry out or binge on processed food. I do smoke weed but even that has decreased and doesn’t make me feel as low as it used to. I walk my dog everyday and even though that’s so easy I was slacking at even that for awhile. Now I do little mini workouts at home and am hoping to progress to the gym soon. I keep telling myself I need to do more and be quicker, but then I see these pic comparisons and I am SO PROUD OF MYSELF. I can’t believe I am saying that now 💕🌺🌿💕🌺🌿

Parenting. Such a big part of my life and I know it is the same for you too. Being a parent is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. I was not prepared for the challenges that being a parent involved. I only thought about the nice parts like walks in the sunshine with the pushchair and showing my baby off to anyone who would look. No one warned me about the loneliness and isolation that some women can experience. Mental health definitely wasn't discussed enough, just a leaflet included with my maternity pack. I love that social media is now a place where people can share the realities of parenthood. Some accounts I love include @tobyandroo and @susiejverrill for keeping it real.
