Oldie but goodie. One my older photos, slightly new edit. Might have been one of my very first featured pics. Still think there is something to it. Seen in connection with other rain images of mine, they together reveal a tension in my photography practice: between the traditional ‘straight’ photo, with weight on lines, reality rendition, heavily geometric, and the expressive and expressionistic moments where these things don’t matter, they are fleeting emotions only. Just found it interesting to contemplate on this recently. What I want to explore more is the expressionistic poetic abstract style. Embrace it, dig deeper, find out more. So this oldie (the pic, not the man) is an example of the past, marking an even deeper transition in the future. No need to be programmatic about it, just following my own interest.
