As high energy and kick ass as it may seem, freestyle step isn’t an easy discipline to teach in today’s world. It requires constant battles with gyms to retain the class on their timetables despite fluctuating audience levels and new class trends. It requires pleasing all levels of participants, whether they are beginners or regulars. It requires sacrifice, hard work, patience and extremely thick skin. But what makes it so worth it are moments like this. One of my veteran steppers, the wonderful Juan Antonio, leaves today to return to his home country after 5 (!!!) years of stepping with me. He handed me these to express his gratitude, but I hope he realises how grateful I am to him, for his contagious energy, his infectious smile whilst stepping and for simply being a faithful class attendee. POR QUE FAZER O EXERCíCIO DE PRANCHA ISOMETRICA FRONTAL? Alguns alunos me perguntam : - Por que preciso fazer a prancha frontal, pra que serve?? Poucos alunos sabem a importância que este simples exercício tem. Além de recrutar vários músculos abdominais e posturais é um ótimo aliado pro fortalecimento do CORE e evita movimentos irregulares e repetitivos da coluna vertebral, como flexão, extensão e rotação inadequados. O CORE é conhecido como centro de força, essência, de onde parte algo, sistema de estabilização corporal. Consiste em : Transverso abdominal, obliquo interno, multífidos, músculos do assoalho pélvico, diafragma e transverso espinhal. O sistema de estabilização do Core é predominantemente formado por fibras Tipo 1 de contração lenta, que respondem melhor a tensão constante. Por este motivo a prancha frontal é utilizada como exercício básico de fortalecimento desse sistema de estabilização, já que os músculos precisam de contração isométrica de no mínimo 6 a 20 segundos para aprimorar a estabilização dinâmica e estática da região lombo-pélvica-quadril. Sendo assim este é de fato um excelente exercício para os abdominais, porque a coluna vertebral não irá executar nenhum movimento dinâmico de extensão, flexão ou rotação. Os músculos profundos abdominais, como o multifidus, o quadrado lombar, o diafragma, oblíquos internos, região pélvica, e transverso abdominal farão o trabalho de estabilidade protegendo a estrutura da coluna vertebral, e se estes músculos forem solicitados regularmente, irão contribuir para umas costas sem dores, e com uma melhor postura, e melhor rendimento desportivo. #XtremeGym #vempraxtreme #XtremeGym #musculação #jump #step #circuitoFuncional at Xtreme Gym
