This place has many meanings for me. I first learned about Echo Park at @dinosaurnps through my graduate class, and again once the ranger position stationed there was offered to a friend. After a spontaneous decision to camp here back in August, my car made the dusty and windy trek down to the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers.
Despite the bites slowly accumulating from insects, I couldn’t help but stare at the walls of stone surrounding two slow moving currents. Steamboat Rock was too immense to even fit into frame vertically, and I could only manage a few minutes at the beach before the bugs found me. But there was something incredibly peaceful about the handful of folks camped out in the relative silence—only broken by the tremendous #echoes one could bounce off the walls. 🏞 at Dinosaur National Monument
