I often find it difficult to talk about things I am not a part of.
I don't want to offend and I don't want to pretend I'm part of something I'm not.
So I will talk about what I do know.
I know that what we see in the media and on the world stage is not very reflective of our climbing community.
We are diverse, we are different, we are multicultural, we are different genders and sexualities, and we are adaptive.
You should not separate us and you should not ignore our different and personal histories.
Separating the Adaptive Climbing World Championships from the “regular” World Cup is the opposite of progress. Diversity isn’t “trending,” it’s who we are. And we deserve better.
