I usually don’t do sappy posts, but I’m proud to call this bad ass MFer my business partner. We faced a lot in 2018, but you always kept it 💯. Looking forward to crushing it together again this year and appreciate all the support from you, @bdazzletass and my little man Hud. at Bretton Woods Ski Resort

Had so much fun on a recent guided snowshoeing and fondue tour. Trekking along snow-covered trails in the quiet of the night definitely feels extra magical. And as if that weren’t rewarding enough, we ended the night with heaping amounts of cheese and chocolate fondue, and learned that there’s a name for that crisp, cheesy crust that’s left at the bottom of the pot - la religieuse (French for ‘the nun’). Thanks @cypressmtn@healthyfamilyexpo for hosting a great time!

D breaks a snowshoe trail to the North Meadow. (I hang back and draw. Briefly. I swear).
This is the same vantage point as yesterday’s house photo, but looking north, rather than south (and now, not then). .
The Scout in the b&w photo is here just out of frame to my right (and buried under 3’ of snow + 35 years of packrats).
The first @visitbend commercial I was hired to make was back in 2012. Making some of these commercials have felt like they were designed by a “committee” carefully balancing everyone’s opinions and interests. Partially because VisitBend is a non-profit that gets its marketing budget from the city’s hotel tax. So everything we feature in the commercials has to be something that someone could theoretically stay at a Bend hotel and do an activity during the day. Which is why we never show camping. These ads are targeted towards Portland/Seattle/San Francisco families and affluent individuals. Despite some of VisitBend’s controversies, I think the new leadership/marketing team behind VisitBend in recent years is the best yet and I look forward to working with them more in the future. Thanks for the opportunity to make this year’s Winter commercial @visitbend. -
