Good morning, phone friends! Day 19 @myhousethismonth and I am posting this while sitting at the eye doctor's waiting for those drops to do their thing.🤓 Have to squeeze this Instafun in wherever we can in our day, right? I always plan to do it first thing in the morning, but one thing or another seem to get in my way most days.
For today's theme, "Bed Linen," I am sharing one of our guest beds.🛏This is the smallest of our two guest bedrooms. I wanted to post a picture of the other bed, but you wouldn't have been able to see the bed linens for all the stuff on the bed.😖Serious every day life is happening in that room...I am still working on cleaning and organizing closets, and I am using that room as the base camp, so to speak. The problem is that I have too many things that still "spark joy" but have no place to put them. So, now I am working on trying to let go of stuff, and it is hard. Very hard.😪
I would love to get rid of the sleigh bed in the picture. We brought it from our previous home...20 years ago it was in Doug's bedroom. My roommate refuses to replace it. I recently changed out the linens on this bed. I love the different textures: the blush Hannah quilt and shams from @potterybarn, the velvet pillow from @target, and the other quilt at the foot of the bed from @macys. On a snowy January day I made the floral sham...I love this Ellen DeGeneres fabric from @joann_stores.
I never had a daughter, so no pink bedrooms ever. Until now...I have a granddaughter! Ava sleeps in this big bed when she comes for a sleepover. There is no greater joy sparked than when we are snuggled under the covers together...she now reads to me. Holding on to those moments...😍🙋♀️❤
