I am feeling #Blessed because although it wasn't a great situation, things could have gone a heck of a lot worse and i am extremely lucky that I had people following me and helpful folks that allowed us to fix our problem and get the horses and kids home safely. #myguardianangelwaswithme 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
....................... On the way back from the horse show, one of my trailer tires shredded on highway 85! 😮 #Funstuff ... It sounded like a semi truck engine braking right next to us. I looked in my side view mirror and saw chunks of rubber flying out behind my trailer. I slowed down and did my best to pull off to the side of the highway to inspect the damages.................. But y'all... 85 is a construction zone right now and there was literally no shoulder onto which i could pull off. The traffic was zooming a few feet from the trailer. Thankfully, Mary's mom, Elise and her friend Francis (Jasper's previous owner) were following us home from the show. Elise scouted ahead and found a much safer place to pull over about 1/2 mile up the highway. There were some traffic cones we could hide behind. Luckily i had my trailer jack so i rolled onto it and removed the old tire, but lo and behold, the spare was flat and wouldn't hold air. 😓 ...................
Elise went on another mission to a local discount tire. It was close to closing time but thankfully these guys quickly put a new tire on the spare rim before closing up shop. While waiting, Francis called the highway patrol to send us an officer to keep traffic away from us. The man was very nice (and cute 😏) and helped us get back on the highway with his patrol car. 👮👍
................... What could have been a nerve wracking and aggravating experience was actually just a karaoke party in the truck, spent eating snacks. Followed by an "educational" trailer ride for Mary and Kelli after pizza. #Iwouldcallthatawin #changeatire #somuchfun #goodtimes #scarybutfun #intheend #horseshow #flattire #shreddedtire #tireblowout #almost #horses #wakeupcall
