A night in the original Thai of Brisbane with a nice group of friends. So much food, and a nice experience.
What we had:
✔️ Moo Phing
grilled marinated pork sticks
✔️ Rhum Mit Thalay
Crispy golden parcels filled with chicken mince and water chestnuts
✔️ Mixed Entrees
Chicken bag, coconut prawn,spring roll and curry puff
✔️ Gang Mussaman
Slow cooked chunk beef curry with potatoes, onion, and peanuts
✔️ Dry garlic, salt, pepper soft shell crab
Lightly battered and deep-fried, sprinkle with spring onion, salt and dry garlic and a touch of pepper and fresh chilli
✔️ Kaho Pad Goong
Special fried rice with prawn, egg, shallots, and onion
Coconut Ice Cream
✔️ Kloy Tod
Deep-fried banana, coated in coconut batter, served with vanilla ice cream and caramel topping
Hard to believe this has been around for 33 years. I can't even begin to imagine what Brisbane's food scene would've been like that long ago... I mean 10 years ago was pretty grim lol.
My highlight, is tough...
I really enjoyed the beef curry, but the soft shell crab is always a winner to my stomach. however... the curry puffs were probably one of the best we've had. Tough choices, but also my Thai milk tea was pretty amazing too 😂.
Definitely need another trip (or two) to try everything but it'll be worth it 😀.
