Devil’s Bridge, Sedona, Arizona 🌵
We love hiking and exploring, so this was definitely the perfect spot to feed that obsession. Even in the beginning, driving through the red rocks was an experience, making you feel like you're surrounded by giants.
Few tips for this that I found handy:
1. Go as early as you can in the day. It'll help with the heat if you're there during summer and there will be less tourist traffic and easier parking.
2. We went in early february, which was good in that the temperatures weren't melting and again, less crowds.
3. Wear layers if you go early. It'll be chilly while the sun is coming up and warm up pretty quickly after that.
4. We parked at Mescal Trailhead on Long Canyon Road. It was the closest we could get with a car without having a jeep or other high-clearance vehicle. Again, get there early for more parking options.
The hike was amazing. It was about 4 miles roundtrip from where we parked. There is a steep hike to the top about halfway, but nothing to leave you out of breathe. --
My absolute, favorite part was not only, of course, Devil's Bridge itself, but also the energy of everyone with it. Everyone worked together, trading off taking turns on the bridge, and taking pictures for each other, laughing, smiling, and just enjoying the scenery.
It was one of those moments where you felt community without even knowing anyone. That moment will be the reason why I'll never forget this place. 💕
