I love when my habit of painting outside leads to interesting conversations with passersby. I used to think I was an introvert, but I’ve slowly realized I’m actually an extrovert who loves meaningful connections with other humans. I ran out to paint sunset tonight and ended up chatting with two random strangers that stopped to see what I was creating. It’s a nice reminder that sometimes we all have more in common than we think. at Betty Bowen Viewpoint
It’s been nearly four months since I’ve had a space/place to make any art (other than random sketchbook stuff). I finally got a chance to mess around with printmaking in my temporary corner-of-the-basement studio. It’s a detour from my usual mediums of encaustic and alcohol ink, but it’s a great way to loosen up and try to get my groove back. Here’s hoping I can get some traction again! #seattleartist#pnwartist#chelan#printmaking
Two of my favorite rings.
My Swamp Queen ring 14k and Green Sapphire. A delicious swampy green sapphire obviously inspired this ring, set in and on top of a 14k band.
On Ashley’s ring finger is my Gravel Band jacket Sterling silver with a 14k and Green Amethyst solitaire slipped inside. Both are on view @viragogallery
