We left Nubra valley with mixed feelings. We were heading towards our dream destination which was frozen pangong but somehow were missing hunder already.
After Agam the valley turned into narrow gorges and we were deep in ice clad mountains.
Snow everywhere, white road, white river and our car was driven by Mr Namgyal slowly to avoid any slipping on this sleek road.
At one point of time I thought this white magic would never be over. This snow white dream got over with the sound of rapidly running water through thickly frozen ice.In some time we got the sight of Dubuk village, our lunch stop.
The whole town was ghostly call except some dogs who were barking occassionally.
We found one food shop open, run by a kind lady.We had our warm lunch here and got to see the deadly water crisis situation due to harsh cold there.
Each breath you take in this cold weather cost a lot,in terms of food, water, shelter or whatever...Living life is ruthless here.
After meal we progressed toward Pangong and in half an hour we were passing through Changthnag wild life park in the hope of seeing some rare animals.
And mother nature were kind to us indeed. We saw a herd of mountain goats, who climbed mountains like monkeys when they saw us coming.
Man they can beat Alex honnold in climbing 😂😂. But real treat is still to come...We saw rare Himalayan wolf.A species which is fighting for its survival.
It is our soul duty to protect this place and its sanctity. If Wolves are gone then we are also gone.
We will be back with Pangong story and with some fun moves we did on the lake on Sunday morning.
