Some of you may or may not know that I’m into photography. @natgeo is hosting a competition for having 100 million followers and my #natgeo100contest photo is of my very good friend @justin_igualada this past weekend at the Freestyle alligator wrestling competition. Normally I compete in this competition but unfortunately I got injured a few days before the competition started so I was unable to. Alligator wrestling is a dying thing because the way society perceives it. Once Florida’s biggest attraction to tourism now very few places do it. Alligator wrestling stems from the Seminole and Miccosukee tribes that started capturing live alligators for food. Once people began to visit Florida and see these native men capture the alligators they started to give them money. As time went on tricks and more dangerous stunts were add to raise more money. Now once a year there is still the Freestyle Alligator Wrestling Competition or FAWC, where the few that practice these traditions can still compete is this extremely dangerous sport.

Definitely not the best dad in the world but I try... If there is one thing I'm super proud of is the fact that I raised my kids to love/respect all animals no matter size or nature! #pets#reptiles#leopardgecko#loveallanimals
