💖 HAPPY MLK DAY!!! 💖 Today I'm fortunate enough to be observing Martin Luther King with the day off! I find a lot of stress during the work week. My job can be really fun, but I'm so overstimulated by it all. Rarely do I have a moment alone, I constantly work through lunch, I have an unhealthy obsession with hitting numbers, and I usually stay an hour late. So when it comes to the weekend all I want to do is *~relax~* 💆‍♀️💆‍♀️💆‍♀️ My coworkers in small talk will ask me about my weekend. I'm sure they expect fun adventures and making memories. It's hard to explain that I literally NEED the weekends to self care and recharge. They don't realize that my weekends look like this recipe. It's my fave blanket and fuzzy socks. It's laying in bed and watching a documentary. It's hugging my boyfriend after waking up just before noon. It's taking a shower and doing a face mask. It's cooking my fave meal. @quorn_uk mince chilli! 🙌🏼 Instructions: 1. Chop 1 onion and cook with a drizzle of oil in a pan. 2. Chop 1 red onion and add that to the pan 3. Chop 3 cloves of garlic and add to the pan with some ground coriander, cumin, smoked paprika, chilli powder and cook for a few more minutes. 4. Add a tin of chopped tomatos, 500ml of passata and a tablespoon of tomato purée and simmer for about 8 minutes. 5. Add a tin of drained kidney beans and a full 300g bag of quorn mince and cook for a further ten minutes. 6. Season and add some chopped fresh coriander and serve with rice or cauliflower rice or whatever you fancy! A roast chicken kind of night 😌. I really believe in slowing down, gathering and coming together and connecting around a good meal. This was a super fresh #local #organic whole chicken 🍗 with local sweet potatoes 🍠, russet potatoes 🥔, local carrots 🥕, celery, citrus 🍊, lots of garlic, red onion and a variety of fresh and dried herbs 🌿 like Herbs de Provence. I have a few #cheftips 👩🏻‍🍳😌: I always recommend salting and rubbing the cavity with sea salt and fresh garlic first then stuffing the cavity with fresh herbs such as parsley, 1/2 an onion, dried rosemary and I did a few slices of oranges as well. This will give the bird extra flavor and dimension. Second tip, rub the outside with oil (I like @olivado_oils avocado 🥑 oil , sea 🌊 salt, freshly ground black pepper, and herbs de Provence). Before you place the bird down, lay all your favorite veggies down into an oven safe pan (I love my @allclad 😍😍) and then season with sea salt, black pepper and 2-3 tbs of oil. Then lay your bird on top of the veggies 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 If your using citrus 🍊, squeeze some of the juice over the top of your bird. Now it’s time to put it in the oven! 🔥🔥I like to do a high heat of 450 for the first 1/2 hour, then drop and reduce the heat to 375-350 for the last hour and a half. Then I let the bird rest for a half an hour at room temperature. On a final note, one pan #cooking is so simple, delicious and leaves for easy clean up! Any leftovers?! I love saving it for #mealprep and things like chicken salad (I have a great easy #recipe here @chef_emery so look for that) 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Don’t forget to take your chicken carcass too to make stock #wastenothing . It’s so easy to do in your #instapot 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. 90 minutes pressure and you have the most #immunutyboosting 💥💥 #guthealing , good for you stock. My kids love when I make soup out of it. 🇮🇹 Melazane Parmigiana - I couldn’t get a good enough pic of this recipe 😂. Once sliced it certainly wasn’t the most photogenic in all its sloppyness but it was delicious 👍🏼😂. I made this with sliced aubergines, home made Italian tomato sauce, and mozzarella all layered together lasagne style 🇮🇹. Topped off with some grated Parmesan and bread crumbs! You could also make this with dairy free cheese, I have some Italian style and mozzarella style sheese arriving from @buteislandfoods this week to try and reduce our dairy consumption. Dziś super prosty i szybki przepis na wegański omlet! Jest pyszny ❣️ Podstawowe składniki to po prostu: mąka z ciecierzycy (białko białko białko!) i woda! Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪 Ingredients: 1/2 cup Crisco shortening; 1/2 cup sugar; 1/2 cup brown sugar; 1/2 tsp salt; 1 egg; 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter; 1 1/4 cups flour; 1/2 tsp baking soda; 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips 🍪 Blend together Crisco, sugars, salt & egg. Add peanut butter. Stir in flour & baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips (mini chips will stir in more easily than regular chips; dough can be crumbly). Shape dough into walnut-sized balls (or use cookie scoop) & place on parchment-paper-lined cookie sheets. Press criss-cross pattern into each dough ball. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes - do not overbake. This is exactly what you should do if someone tells you not to have carbs!! 🖕🏼 . Carbs are awesome! They help with muscle gain, muscle retention, they’re the body’s preferred source of energy, they help with brain function and away from the technical stuff lets be honest they taste F’ing good! 😋 . Someone told me the other day her last trainer (who she was with for 6months and seen no progress) told her she wasn’t to eat carbs for breakfast because it spikes insulin! You’re only aloud eggs & bacon for breakfast.. EVERYDAY! 🥴🤦🏻‍♂️ . Now keeping in mind this person isn’t a competitor nor is she looking to get completely shredded, she simply wants to lose some weight in preparation for her holiday and to simply feel better about herself. . You should not have to demonise food groups to lose a few kilos. If you’re not losing weight you’re simply not in a deficit.. instead of cutting out foods you enjoy just monitor your calorie intake, if you don’t lose weight then either move more or consume less! 👌🏼 . Hamuru icin... * 2 adet yumurta * 4 yemek kaşığı yoğurt * 100gr margarin * tuz * aldığı kadar un iç pilavı için: * 1 kase pirinç * 2 yemek kaşığı tereyag * 2 kase tavuk suyu * 2 adet tavuk bacağı ( isteğe göre kuzu eti ya da tiftiklenerek yapılmış tum tavuk da kullanabilirsiniz, bacak sayisini da misafiri sayiniza gore artirabilirsiniz ) * dolmalık fıstık ve soyulmus badem * kuş üzümü * karabiber, tuz ,tarçın Perde Pilavı Tarifi Yapılışı 1. ilk olarak tavuk bacaklarını fırında 180 derecede uzeri kızarana kadar pişirin. ( tiftiklenmis tum tabuk kullanmak isterseniz de tavugu butun olarak firinda pisirebilirsiniz sonra tiftikleyebilirsiniz) 2. Tereyagini pilav tenceresinde eritip içine fistiklari ve bademlerk katıp kızarana kadar karıştırın ve yıkayıp suyunu iyice süzdüğünün pirinçleri yağda 3-4 dakika kadar kavurun. 3. 2 kase tavuk suyunu pirinçlerin üzerine ekleyin. 4. Yarım yemek kaşığı da tuz, bir tk karabiber, bir tk tarçin ve kuş üzümlerini ekleyerek kapağını kapatın. 5. Pilav suyunu çektikten sonra ocaktan alın ve kapalı şekilde demlemeye bırakın. Hamurun yapımı 1. tüm malzemeleri karıştırarak hamurunuzu yoğurun. 2. Bu sırada margarinle yağladığınız kaba istediğin gibi kabuksuz bademleri dizin. (PUF NOKTASI: Hamuru yerleştirirlen bademlerin kaymaması için buzlukta 5 dakika kadar kabı bekletin) 3. Hamuru biri küçük biri büyük iki parçaya ayırın. 4. Büyük olanı 3 mm kalınlığında açıp kabın tabanına, kenarları da kapatacak şekilde güzelce yerleştirin. 5. Zemine önce fırında pişen butları ya da tiftiklenmis tavuklari yerlestirin, üzerine boş yer kalmayacak kadar iç pilavı dökün. 6. Bonsoir. Au menu du soir.... Un crumble de vieux pain (4 pts /pers...) Ici, je n'aime pas jeter... Surtout ce qui est alimentaire. J'ai horreur du gâchis. Alors, quand le pain devient trop dur, je le garde pour en faire quelque chose plus tard. C'est ce soir qu'il m'a fait de l'œil !!!! Voici comment faire pour l'utiliser façon crumble. Râper ou mixer 100g vieux pain sec en chapelure et 30 g de parmesan. Les mélanger. Trancher des aubergines et les faire revenir avec des lardons . (Pas besoin de graisse, celle des allumettes suffit !!!) Saler/poivrer. A la fin de cuisson ajouter 40 g de fromage de chèvre frais. Et bien mélanger pour le repartir. Mettre cette préparation au fond d'un plat a gratin. Ajouter au mélange pain/parmesan, un yaourt nature et remuer grossièrement pour former des petites boulettes. Les étaler au dessus des légumes et enfourner 15 minutes a four chaud. The best part of winter is the sunshine and the freezing cold. . I love being able to put my soup pot out on my back door step. . This was a fabulous recipe that I will make again and again. It's Chicken Garlic and Ginger Soup from Genius Kitchen. I added extra ginger and a tablespoon of hot pepper flakes too. . After a month in DR and sunshine, I felt a cold coming, my body was very achy and my mood dipped a bit this past week. This soup heated me right up from the inside out. . I also reluctantly got out to yoga classes where it is always nice and warm. An unexpected call from a friend to walk also helped me out, even although it was very cold. I know what I need to do, some days are easier than others . . 🇫🇷ФРАНЦУЗСКИЙ КРЕМ-СУП ИЗ ШАМПИНЬОНОВ❣️ Чтобы разнообразить свое ежедневное меню, необязательно мастерить утку по-пекински🥘 или какие-нибудь фуа-гра. Вместо привычного так называемого прозрачного супа можно приготовить суп-пюре, или крем-суп. В нашем рационе это блюдо пока редкость, а между тем вариаций у него масса☝🏻. Суп-пюре – прекрасное блюдо для обеда, которое могут есть все, начиная от детей и девушек на диете, заканчивая гурманами и эстетами😋. А главное, его можно приготовить из чего угодно – из сезонных овощей, грибов, сыра.🍲 📌Что понадобится: • 500 грамм шампиньонов • 1 луковица • 1 зубчик чеснока • 1 л. молока • 100 мл сливок • 35 грамм сливочного масла • 250 мл воды • 20 грамм муки • соль, перец по вкусу • щепотка молотого мускатного ореха • петрушка для украшения 👩🏻‍🍳Создаем вкуснятину: 1️⃣Шампиньоны промываем и нарезаем ломтиками, лук мелко нарезаем, чеснок измельчаем. 2️⃣Разогреваем в сковороде с глубоким дном 10 грамм сливочного масла и пассеруем в нем лук, чеснок и шампиньоны до тех пор, пока будет выпариваться сок. Следим за тем, чтобы лук и грибы не меняли цвет. Солим и перчим. 3️⃣На дне кастрюли с глубоким дном растапливаем 1 ст. л. сливочного масла, добавляем муку и готовим, энергично помешивая, в течение 2 минут. 4️⃣Медленно вливаем молоко и воду, не переставая помешивать, и готовим, пока соус не начнет закипать. Добавляем соль, перец и мускатный орех. 5️⃣Теперь откладываем небольшое количество нарезанных ломтиками шампиньонов для украшения, а остальные отправляем в кастрюлю к соусу. Recipe below 👇🏼👇🏼 * * “New York” Root Beer Manhattan - 1 oz Root Beer Syrup - 2 oz 100 Proof Bourbon - 1.2 oz @cocchi_australia Vermouth di Torino - 6 dashes “Big Bear” @crudebitters Coffee & Cocoa Bitters - Stir bourbon, syrup, and vermouth with ice in a mixing glass for 30 seconds. Strain into rocks glass and place a large ice cube. Add bourbon and gently stir. Oggi buongiorno con questo buonissimo pancake mela e cannella ricoperto da cioccolato fondente, cocco e mandorle🤤 Gli ingredienti sono sempre gli stessi e la ricetta è davvero semplicissima👌🤗. PANCAKE MELA E CANNELLA📝🥞: -100 gr di albumi🍳; -30 gr di farina di farro integrale; -10 gr di farina di cocco🥥; -1 cucchiaino di yogurt greco; -1 mela🍏; -cannella qb; -1/2 puntina di bicarbonato con del succo di limone🍋; Ho inserito in una ciotola prima le farine e poi l' albume, ho mescolo il tutto e successivamente ho aggiunto il resto degli ingredienti. Una volta pronto, ho fatto cuocere in un pentolino alto con il coperchio a fiamma bassa, girando il pancake da un lato e poi dall' altro. Ho poi ricoperto il tutto con del cioccolato fondente, cocco grattugiato e mandorle🔝.
