Hallo dear friends,
I know I probably use not the most popular approach in learning/teaching English which is learning by doing and practicing instead of indoctrinating your brains.
This is why I enjoy sharing people’s stories. And I know you enjoy reading :)
As I said earlier we all learn from each other.
There is one beautiful author called Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Mexican tradition. Her approach in her psychotherapy as well as in her art is storytelling which is closely entwined with healing. Estes see strories as “medicine that have the power ot repair or reclaim that part of individual that has been lost to pain of living”.
Well, this might sounds quite weird. Though this actually works.
My point here is that there are diffenrt approaches in learning, in healing, in working. Almost in each field. And in learning a new skill different people prefer diffeent tools. Such as singing, learning poetry maybe, reading, speaking whatever.
I met Robbie whilst I was shooting a Cathedral in Liverpool. I was with my camera just wondering around and he asked my about photography and my experiences. Word by word we start talking about art, music, whether Earth is round or no LOL, and Totexth Riot where he actively participated back to 1980. That was amazing to hear his passion to music, passion in past fights again discrimination. Passion rules the world, isn’t it?
Passion to learning in our case
There is no really point in this story, He was one of those people who follow his way ragardless. I guess he did that in past and keep doing today.
