Tonight we finally got to bring our little pup home from the icu. He’s been in + out of there for the last month, + it’s been really hard keeping everyone updated on his condition because everyday is a new/different day with this.
Summit was diagnosed with a liver disease, but one that they are unsure of. His shunts on his liver are rare, + this condition is something that hasn’t been seen before by any of the vets we have taken him to. Its been back + forth with opinions from vets one day saying he needs to be put to sleep, + the next saying that he’s recovered so well + doing great. The following night I was called in the middle of the night to tell me there were complications with his breathing + there was nothing they could do, to that same day discharging him + having him home running around
We are learning to take each day as it may come, + cherishing every single moment with this little guy. He is the biggest joy to come into our lives, + I know that God has big plans for him. at Plymouth, Massachusetts
