We all have those moments when you feel like giving up, when the progress is slower than expected, or you are looking for a helping hand and can’t find one. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself and see the value in your journey right where you are. Sometimes you have to pull yourself up even when it hurts, even when it’s hard, even when you don’t want to or know how. You have to find the reason why and focus on that! Celebrate every WIN and focus on that! Don’t discount your progress even it’s small, if you are making an effort each day- celebrate it. If you see a change-celebrate it! No matter what, it will lead to great things if you don’t stop and give up. This was a WIN for me! I’m not completely where I want to be, but I’m working toward it. 30 days of pull-ups every day comes to a conclusion! The results: . 💪🏻 1RM PULL - UP: 30kg (+7.5kg/33% increase) ⬆️ . 💪🏻 MAX BODYWEIGHT REPS: 13 (+2 reps/18% increase) ⬆️ . These were done at a bodyweight of 91.5kg, which was the exact same as the baseline testing. Before pull-ups every day my 1RM was 22.5kg, and max BW reps was 11. . This little case study on myself lends some anecdotal evidence to the idea that increasing frequency may be an easy way to get better at an exercise. Now is not only about what I represent today, it is also about what kind of legacy i want to leave behind. 🛠🧱⚙️⁣ ⁣ I am always so thankful with God and life for the people he’s bless me in my path. Thanks to this guy 📸: @jc_vanscoder who capture this moment and got me to follow his crazy workout routine the “MURPH”⁣ ⁣ This challenge consist in completing 1 mile run, and 20 rounds of these following exercise with a 30 pound weight best on. ⁣ 💯: pull ups⁣ 💯x2 : push ups⁣ 💯x3 : Squats⁣ ⁣ I was able to break the routine and finally feel like i am getting some progress done again. I have done this challange 4 times now and it has been tough every time, this is the reality of this challange it get’s me down on my knees and makes me want to quit but it fires me up and the reward of completing it is a priceless sense of satisfaction. LATE POST!! Had to get the work in since I didn’t get to go train. Working on some things my coach told me to work on.... FOOTWORK! Moving around the bag and not feeling to bad on my bad foot either. Definitely getting better the more I train. (As is should be) next sparring sesh should be a bit better. 💪🏽😤🔥 • • • • On a side note: I’m down to 163lb from 177lb. Pullups are easily my favourite back exercise! They are the epitome of bodyweight control and strength because you literally are pulling your entire bodyweight against gravity. There is a reason not a lot of people can do it, let alone properly and that is simply because of how difficult the movement is and just how many muscles it involves when doing it accurately.your biceps, posterior deltoids, lats, fore, etc.There are also so many different variations such as wide pullups, archer pullups, typewriter pullups, and more! Easily one of, if not the best back exercise out there! If you can't do one right now, don't worry! Thanks to @pheasyque for a great representation of doing proper pull ups. Pull-ups are one of the best exercises to get a great physique and get that v-shape everyone craves. In this post it shows a mid and wide grip pull up. Mid grip pull is the most optimal to perform the pull up. This is because it allows you to perform full range of motion without impinging your shoulders like the wide grip would. Many people believe wide grip makes your back wider. But that’s not the case. You would still getting the same back activation as you would doing mid grip pull-ups.
