This sentence is my personal meditation, today and most days. You know me, so you know I’ll see its meaning through the lens of movement, and these words are exactly what I’ve been trying to get my head around with regards to my own connectedness to the rest of the planet. We depend on each other; how do we also take care of each other? How do we place more of our responsibility on ourselves? For me, one part of the answer is “move more for the things I need.” A good exercise today, and every day: look around and note 3-4 things you've relied upon this morning that you didn't create. Where did they came from, what raw materials they're made of, who harvested them, how, and under what conditions? Read Martin Luther King Jr.'s entire Christmas Sermon on Peace from which this quote is taken.
