Ah days like this with my baby Valentina 🥰🧡🌞🌴 . Girls & mums message me that they want to start my Yummy Mummy challenge but assume it’s a lot of hard work & it takes a lot of effort... honestly it DOESN’T!! 😄 . I think it’s easy to look like this and you just need to introduce a healthy lifestyle into your life and just get used to a new routine! What I do to look & feel good AND maintain this look is easy!! Promise 🧡 . This is what I do: 💛 I eat 3 big meals & 2 small meals a day! I give my girls lots of options for all meals with different meats, salads, carbs, fats! I’m never hungry, I eat lots of food, have coffee, water, Pepsi max. I have 1-2 cheat meals weekly too eg. on Friday night I had Betty’s burger with chips, ice cream, chocolates. Saturday I had pizza and apple cider. I eat healthy all other times! 💛 I train at the gym only 1 day a week, I do 2-3 days of training at home following my Yummy Mummy home training and sometimes I only do cardio at home. I don’t over train or tell my clients to train 6 days a week 😅 that’s hard to do when your a busy mum! You can train 2-4 days a week & look fantastic, trust me!!! 💛 To avoid back pain from carrying a baby I do my Yummy Mummy stretches every morning & every night but I honestly do them for 1 minute each time, that’s it! It helps so much! 💛 I cook my Yummy Mummy healthy recipes for my family -my hubby & baby eat all the food on my plan + my recipes!! No need to cook separate meals for yourself & your family! (unless you have fussy kids 🙊 or husband 🙈) . Anything else, just ask me!!!! Little adjustment to your lifestyle can make a huge difference how you look & feel! “Since having Remi my inbox is constantly flooded with messages from new mums who are doubting themselves. They are worried about the fact their babies like to be held or fed to sleep. They are worried because they have friends or family or have read book or articles online that tell them this is “bad” and that they are setting their baby up for failure. They’re anxious and worried because they think what they’re doing is “wrong” and they are stressed because they think there is something wrong with their baby because he or she won’t just fall asleep on their own in their bassinet or cot. This makes me so sad. There is nothing wrong with your baby or you mama. Our babies are only so little for such a short amount of time. Our babies are new to this big wide world. They are learning and growing and the only thing they truly know is YOU. You are their safe place. You are their comfort. You are their home. Not every baby needs this comfort some will be fine to be left to fall asleep on their own, but many do need us and that’s ok. Every baby is unique. Millie never fed to sleep. Remi always feeds to sleep. We get about 6 weeks in that baby bubble and 12 weeks in the fourth trimester. 1 year with them as a baby. And only a couple of years as a toddler. Time is precious. Time is fleeting. Time is not guaranteed. Everyday is together is a blessing and if your baby is most calm and comforted by you then there really isn’t anything wrong with that. They want you close, they love you close. YOU are their mama. If your baby sleeps in your arms, if your baby fall asleep on your chest, if your baby wants to feed and doze off and you are comfortable and you are happy with that don’t let any one else’s opinions make you change. Don’t let anyone scare you in to thinking that you’re “spoiling” your baby. Don’t let anyone else decide the way you want to parent. Hold them tight and let them feel safe. Todays workout was accompanied by miss Gemma During the week it's easy for me to get the workout in before I pick the girls up from school But weekends it's much harder to find the time Nolan took Aria to the store so Gemma and I snuck in a quick 20 minutes. Shrimp and Grits . . Okay, this was supposed to be my cheat meal, but it isn’t entirely bad. Therefore, I am posting it. I am not sure how it will effect blood sugar, so proceed with caution gestational diabetics!! Serves 4 . •1 lb of raw shrimp, peeled and deveined •1 red bell pepper, julienned •1/2 a red onion, diced •Creole seasoning (sugar free) •1 tablespoon of butter •1 cup of shredded Tillamook sharp cheddar •1 cup of Quaker quick grits . Cut the veggies and sauté them in the butter until soft. Remove them from the pan. Prepare grits according to packaging (in other words, with water). Add the cheese at the very end. Sprinkle some Creole seasoning over raw shrimp and pan cook them in the same pan in which the veggies were cooked. Word of the day...MOTIVATION...what’s yours? What motivates you to make the decisions that you make? ✨I ask myself this question daily✨ This week I had to take 8 days off from running. I hate excuses. But I had to accept that my body was injured and that I needed to take a week off my running schedule to heal. This morning on my short slow run I reflected on my “why” and my “motivation”. Why am I running? Why do I get out of bed voluntarily at 4:30am every morning? ✨ It is NOT to hit a number on the scale (truth- I weigh less now then I did pre pregnancies) ✨ I’m not motivated to be skinny! I am motivated to be fit. I am motivated to keep up with my husband on a long run, to hike mountains as a family, to try new sports, to lead be example and show my girls the importance of a healthy lifestyle. To set goals for myself and attain them, showing myself my worth. THAT’S my motivation 🌟🤗 I am not a professional fitness instructor, I am not a certified nutritionist or a certified personal trainer. I AM A PROFESSIONAL MOTIVATOR! I have a tool box created by trainers, and nutritionist, I have plans and programs that they so intricately designed. I get to be the motivator! How incredible is that? Yummy yummy dinner 🤗 Aubergine Caponata and tenderstem broccoli. I think I’m adjusting to the low carb thing! I felt so so hungry at first but since this afternoon it’s started to peter out. Slimming World does work but I think 1 I’m too impatient and 2 it may not be the best for a plant based diet, in my opinion anyway. I think it’d be much better for someone who does eat meat/dairy than it is for me. I do like to change up my weightloss strategy and try different things. I would love to do raw til 4 again at some point, and I’m also really interested in some sort of fasting diet though I’m not sure which I’d go for! Obviously I don’t want to do anything too ‘extreme’ whilst breastfeeding. This week was hard in every way. Physically, emotionally, mentally — I was riding the struggle bus most of the week. Then this morning I got my period and then everything made sense. I knew momma didn’t raise no bitch! 😝 . . This week I struggled with everything from eating right to having energy to get up and do my basic house chores and much less workout. But I did my best and managed to eat healthy 85% of the time and workout 5 times this week. . . Reminding myself that whether it be by an inch or a mile, progress is progress. I was intentional with the time I had with my kids and spent with my family. The Ugly Truth: Q: Doesn’t breastfeeding help you loose weight? A: Sure! I lost a little bit from the start, but technically speaking? No. You have to consume more calories to help keep your supply up because once that supply starts dipping, it’s not fun to try and figure out what to eat to get it back up. The struggle was real. I would work out and do a little more cardio than usual and I’d automatically see a decrease with breast milk. So then I had to go easier in the gym to make sure i was able to still feed Dax. But starting tomorrow, I’m officially all in for this weight loss. Since he’s 7 months old now, I couldn’t keep up with his demand with my supply so therefore I decided to transition him to formula, bc we all know, FED IS BEST. I’m super thankful and grateful that I got to BF exclusively for those 7 months. We made our way to Fredericksburg yesterday and I was able to pick up one of my all time favorite candles! Think of a sweet leather smell 😍 I also picked up some of the waxes to melt in my Scenty lamps. Holla 🙌🏼 On another note, I didn’t eat keto 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had fudge, margaritas, chips & salsa and of course, we went wine tasting. #itiswhatitis BUT back to keto today. Needed some new kicks for my @treadthrill workouts, so I headed to @runnershighnj in Freehold to get some assistance finding the perfect pair for me. Went there a few years ago for shoes when I was training for races in Disney and they were great. The last few pairs of shoes I had were just randomly picked up from Dicks or elsewhere and they just weren't cutting it anymore. Grace was a big help and I love my new #onrunning sneakers. Лишь немногие счастливицы могут придерживаться подобного режима питания, и не набирать вес. Если вы не относитесь к их числу – нужно строго следить за рационом, за его калорийностью и количеством жиров!!! 🤦‍♀️.
