Something that Adam and I have found super fun and exciting is our Activity app on our #iphones. We recently got apple watches and it tracks every step and we can also track our workouts together. We have a weekly “competition” to see who gets the most points. I have found that it definitely motivates me to kick his butt 😂😈💪🏻 but it also helps me be supportive. When we can see each others progress throughout the day we can give each other gentle reminders to kick each day in the ass as best as we can. It doesn’t really matter who wins in the end, just as long as we are out there doing the best we can and moving our bodies. But just so we are clear... Two great things happened this morning, I apparently lost 3lbs even though I was so sure I gained. And I beat my mile time on the treadmill by 45 seconds. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 My goal for February was to be under 200lbs by the end of the month. Today, I am 200lbs even - I have exactly a week to lose at least 1lb to reach that goal. Wish me luck. 🤘🏻

I haven’t shared much of my workouts this week...I have filmed a few though so I’ll share them later today. In the meantime, here is a glimpse at what I’ve done this week plus I’ve been running 4+ miles each night for the last three weeks. 💦 talk about a sweat sesh! I like to break up my workouts just so I’m not spending hours at the gym at one time. Plus I’m able to give 100% at each training session. If you’re not able to split your workouts up, I HIGHLY suggest doing weight training FIRST and cardio second. This allows your body to be fresh and ready so you’re able to push and lift your hardest. 💪🏽yeah muscles! On another note! If you aren’t weight training...you should be. That is the key to successfully losing fat and keeping it off. Your muscles use waaay more calories and will help your body to stay strong and healthy throughout anything life throws at you. If you are one of those people that says, “I don’t want to lift because I will look bulky.” You’re wrong and I don’t like people like you. Drop that excuse because it is not true. Ask any body builder how long they have been growing and how they got there....I 💯 guarantee that they will tell you it’s been years of eating absurd amounts of calories, lifting crazy heavy stuff, months of bulking and cutting....if you think you’re going to bulk up WITHOUT taking on at least a quarter of that...it ain’t happening folks! ⁣⁣ #THROWBACKTHURSDAY⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This is the photo they took of me when I started going to #planetfitness in Maryland in 2015. Fast forward 4 years and the front desk can hardly believe it's me! 🤭😁⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I've lost (and gained if I'm being honest) many pounds, had countless workouts, and battled with both eating too much and too little at various point on this journey but, I made it! I've been in maintenance for about 6 months now and I'm pretty proud I've been able to stay consistent for so long #consistencyiskey 💪🍽️🗝️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In the beginning I strictly counted calories with #myfitnesspal and used the #treadmill for all of my workouts. Over time I got bored and wanted more of a challenge so I moved on to the #elliptical. When I got bored of that I started using the arc trainer and then eventually, the cross ramp 🏃‍♀️💦⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ One day last July I decided to try the stairs and I fell in love. I've been climbing 5-6 days a week, for an hour each time, for about 7 months now and I feel the best I've ever felt. Im not bored yet and it's still extremely challenging and rewarding after all this time. I HIGHLY recommend a #stairclimber workout!!🧗👍⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ If you would've told me the day of that photo that this would be my life now I would've looked at you like you were crazy but, here I am!
