Pizza Daddy | American Slice House | Hamilton
@pizzadaddyscotland opened its doors last year and since then we have visited quite a few times, from late night working days to just Friday night pizza. We rarely order in but when we do this has slowly but surely become our first choice.
Pizza Daddy is a small American slice house in Hamilton.
It is not Halal but it’s veggie pizzas are fantastic- albeit limited.
The stand out parts of this pizza are,
the awesome pizza sauce, tasty sourdough base and classic toppings.
The first time we ordered, it reminded me of old school pizza before it became all gourmet and fancy, a real feeling of nostalgia.
It carried a lot of good flavour and was demolished within minutes. Cheese lovers also rejoice as this is one of those pizzas where the toppings slide off with the cheese. The sourdough is made daily so the pizza sells out fast often closing by 9 on the weekend.
Our regular order is the Veg Out minus mushroom and plus jalapeño since Monsieur Halal Munch is a mushroom hater (such a shame). The jalapeño are fresh as well, not the pickled type.
A classic looking and tasting pizza. Straight out of a film or cartoon.
Our other favourite is the side dish, the voodoo fries. Do not be fooled they are full of cheese, fresh chillies and siracha.
If you love loaded chips and spicy flavours this is for you, plus the portion is huge and the chips are super fresh.
This one is for a night in to chill with good classic food. Add a movie and you’re sorted.
This may be out the way for a few folk but you may live nearby and give it a go.
