“Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul.” – Wassily Kandinsky

I arranged the song Never Too Late for solo piano. I will be releasing a recording of the arrangement on YouTube within the next week. I am excited to get it out there. :) :).

So how do you get a better technique? Well... you practice it... so here is a screenshot of my current system. Works for any instrument... the system above takes 45 minutes if I’m just going over it but this is only one key...
If you can play something 𝟑 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 without a mistake that is the bare minimum but still an important milestone to reach
If you can play same thing 𝟕 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 without a mistake then you are “competent” in the particular phrase you are studying. Yay!
If you can play the thing 𝟐𝟏 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 then you have mastered it. Performance mode. Just need to review every now and then or double the speed and start over 😎
Several important things to note:
▪️When you first start to learn something go slow. Yes That means you have to play it 21 times slowly. Yes that means you have to probably stop learning tons of stuff and focus on one thing at a time
▪️Once you play it 21 times you still need to review it every now and then. If you find yourself slipping then you waited to long to review and you start the process again
▪️To be fair, my technique is awful but since I transcribe on YouTube I have to play what the best musicians play so for me developing technique is not an option. So make it something that you HAVE to do!!
