4PM - Mt. Rainier. We hiked through the evergreen dappled with purple wildflower. Gathering clouds brought shade to our path. The glaciated Mt Rainier background made the meadow appear greener and more vibrant. The clouds and fog rolling in deemed a challenge for a great sunset. We might even lose sight of Mt. Rainier. At this moment, our sensei suggested a laser show at America great dam Grand Coulee. Eyes wide open. Foot on pedal. Engine revved. Off we went - Grand Coulee Dam
7PM - Ephrata, WA. We saw the word “Pho” on a restaurant sign. Brake engaged. U-turn mode initiated. A few things might have been displaced in the car. Warm bowls of Pho fed the empty stomach and fulfilled the surprise. Strongly recommend “Mommy Yum Yum” for anyone crossed path through a super small town right smack in the middle of WA. Owners were there for 35 years.
8:30PM - Welcome us to Grand Coulee Dam.
9:30PM - the sun turned off the light by going over the horizon. The dam rolled down the water screen. Green laser beams danced above our head. The show began.
