Someone once asked me, “Why do you insist on taking the hard road?” I'm like, “why do you assume I see two roads?..." When I get moody I want to do weird things, or neglect my responsibilities. Disciplined people submit their emotions to #wisdom though... We say, "These are my feelings, but I don't live by my feelings. I may have #moods, but they don't dictate my actions. I'm going to do exactly what I would do if I felt better..." "Receive instruction in wise dealing and discipline of wise #thoughtfulness, righteousness, justice and #integrity." -( #Proverbs 1:3). Moods can bring strange impulses that we dare not do... "Oh, I'm effing pissed right now so I'm gonna do this..." Or we look for a perfect justifiable excuse to execute some out of pocket reaction. Like for #alcoholics, we always want that final-straw breaking-point that will usher us back into the whimsical world of binge-mode... There is no excuse.
