Happy Monday again, friends.
Note: stop expecting YOU from people.
Not everyone would do what you would do.
Whether that is decisions you would make
Plain ole manners.
Respect and regard.
Or a thousand other things.
Truthfully, most people are entirely oblivious to their words, actions and how they can affect others.
Or, they may just not care.
Maybe it wasn’t their intention to hurt you, but their words come out freely and they don’t feel the need to check themselves.
Maybe they feel comfortable enough with you that they don’t feel they need to filter or have pleasantries, but can just be honest.
Maybe they can’t help themselves, and lies are just what they weave to self-protect, or continue living in their story.
Maybe we will never know.
Maybe we don’t need to.
I hear it all.
Truly, I do.
And what I say in truth right back ...is that we cannot expect someone to act they same way we would.
We cannot expect someone to behave or react as we would behave or react.
And when we finally accept that, we have a choice to make, which inevitably means we accept them, or not.
But .... it gives power back to make a decision like that.
We aren’t victimized by their behavior anymore.
I’m about everyone being in their own power.
And changing perspective once in a while.
