Body transformatie Amin! Amin kampte al een tijdje met overgewicht en het lukte hem zelf niet om deze kilo's eraf te krijgen. Ik heb samen met hem een plan van aanpak gemaakt waarin we zijn eetpatroon hebben aangepast. Amin was al een tijdje bezig met fanatiek kickboksen en fitnessen (dus daar lag het niet direct aan), maar doordat zijn eetpatroon niet goed was kreeg hij toch de kilo's er niet af. Ik heb dus samen met hem een voedingsschema gemaakt die voor hem goed vol te houden is en nog lekker ook 😊. Ook heb ik zijn trainingsschema wat veranderd door de training intensiteit wat te verhogen en verschillende spiergroepen apart per dagdeel te pakken. Dit alles heeft ervoor gezorgd dat hij in 6 maanden 27 kg is afgevallen!💪👌👍. I made excuses for myself last week and didn’t do the best I could with my workouts. I was super busy with the launch of our new program and getting my next boot camp ready, and we had a crazy family week with baseball games, a wedding, dance recital, and Father’s Day. Alllll EXCUSES. . But instead of throwing in the towel because of my bad couple of days, like I used to do all the time, I’m hitting the reset button. I’m back on track 100 percent and the reason why isn’t because I feel guilty for “cheating,” but because I feel my best when I start each day with a workout and when I eat healthy. . Knee Valgus. What is it and why is it bad? It is where there is inward knee movement involving internal rotation of the femur and hip adduction. It’s commonly seen in running, squatting and lunging. Knee movement should occur in the same direction the toes are pointed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Knee Valgus leads to an increased risk in patellofemoral (knee) pain, ACL tears, MCL injuries and IT band issues. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The main causes are 1️⃣ Weak Hips - Characterized by a lack of strength or engagement from the gluteal muscles which play a large role in femoral external rotation and hip abduction. 2️⃣ Reduced Ankle Range of Motion - Lack of ankle dorsiflexion causes compensation where the feet pronate (arches collapse) to allow for more forward knee movement. 3️⃣ Anatomy - individual anatomical differences such as gender, pelvic width, femur shape, hip joint shape and feet can all predispose someone to a higher chance of knee Valgus. A tips is to keep a fitness journal. Write down your fitness goals as clearly as possible. Then it'll be much easier for you to know what to do, stay focused and stay motivated, in Shaa Allah. A journal also helps you to track your progress, knowing where you started and where you are heading. Keep looking in your journal daily. Here is where I'm starting by the way😉, my achievement of the first serious running session. Make your goals as of the S.M.A.R.T formula, meaning that the goals should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time bound. Offically barre certified!!!!!!!!!! Currentlg feeling: Sore/tired/exhausted/happy This was a humbling experience. I have never taken a barre class. This was a last minute don't think just do. I went into this expecting a little sore the next day but this kicked my butt. I was a little shocked that I felt an intense burn 40 seconds into the first of many workouts. This definitely helped me hit diffrent muscle fibers I don't usually burn out. I picked this up fairly quick the, teaching came easy. I enjoyed learning a new style of exercise. I learned more about my style of teaching which I found very helpful. Overall I had a great non stop barre workout weekend, very excited to where this takes me in my fitness career.

⠀ ⠀ Who needs a little Monday motivation? ⠀ Last week I trained triceps. Yep.. a triceps workout was the only thing I got around to do all week. I felt like crap and I kicked myself for not finding the time to train. However I think the week off was exactly what I needed to refocus my training. ⠀ So this morning after teaching a class @mgfitsyd I went over to @infit247 and smashed out a massive 2 hr session of back, biceps, legs and abs. I was excited, I was pumped and I felt great after. ⠀ I don’t normally train in the morning. I’d honestly much rather go back to bed but today I had the motivation and the drive to do it all because I didn’t train last week. ⠀ The moral of the story is take a week off if you feel like you need it. Just don’t eat crap! I kept my diet on point last week and I feel great. ⠀ The video is of the trx finisher I did at the end of my abs/core workout. I started with decline sit-ups and russian twists with a 10kg plate for 10 reps x3 and then on the TRX pike, knee tucks, oblique tucks 10 reps x3 sets. So good! Just don’t stop in between each exercise so you feel the burn. ⠀ Happy Monday Everyone! ☺️ ⠀ at INFIT 24/7

How often does the comparison wand come out? Does it create some anxiety? What has helped you through it? . . Something that can help if you ever find yourself feeling very anxious in any situation, is to focus on your breathing, to breathe in for 4 counts and breathe out for 4 counts. A therapist once said to practice that and it can help calm you. If you do this over time you will see a difference. It is like meditating and being a yogi all the time 😘. . . I used to feel more anxious in large groups. Sometimes I can still be {I can be an introvert}. But I have embraced who I am, loved myself more, surrounded myself with wonderful people, pushed myself out of my shell more and more and managed my anxiety better. We are all so different so you need to find what works for you. . . . Remember that you are an amazing individual. No one has your qualities, your personality, humor, kindness and smarts.. . . Your feelings about yourself is the only one that matters. Go out there and be you!!
