Firstly, I'm pretty proud of myself that I took the 3 ferral children and 1 basshole solo into the Peak District during East Holidays. So 👏👏👏 to me.
I figured that the whinning outdoors would be tolerated much better than the whinning indoors and to achieve this I must make then physically drained. So Thorpe Cloud it was.
The twins had already mastered some pretty nifty rock climbing skills along the way and baby bear was on their tail.
We got half way and then the whinning increased to unbelievable heights so we promptly turned on our heal and headed back.
Three things I have learned today
1. Whinning occurs at any given moment indoors and outdoors.
2. Kids are pretty tough and despite the whinning they have really impressed me today.
3. Basset Hounds cannot swim.
Lastly thank you to the man that waded through the water to help the twins across the stepping stones after they froze in the middle. The 3yr old and the dog on my back was kinda slowing me down. at Dovedale Stepping Stones
