Studies show that high carbohydrate foods, dairy products, and foods with added sugars are the worst offenders when it comes to managing insulin. :: Researchers wanted to find out what would happen if they put 24 overweight and obese women with PCOS on a low starch/low dairy diet for eight weeks. One of our new little bull calf born last night! Life is sometimes a balancing act, right now I'm doing my best to help my husband with calving (up every 2 hours checking on the cows) and building my Wolfpack of amazing girls during the day. Up all night and up all day helping to build my husband's dreams and up all day building mine! Simple yet delicious 💛🌻 What you see is what you get with this meal! This breakfast consisted of one lemon, garlic and parsley poached salmon fillet (from Lidl if you’re in the uk) and a whole pack of asparagus with a teeny bit of butter, salt and pepper. Honestly this was one of the nicest meals I’ve had for the shortest prep time! So filling and so tasty 🤤 Also, @lidluk does the best fish for the price 👌🏻 Ps. I also tried (and semi-failed) to incorporate some texture in my pictures, inspired by @wellnesswithcourtnie but I’m not 100% sure how it turned out. The sky from my living room flat window. I’m 100% convinced I have a uterus prolapse, which I believed has been caused by squats. I’m in panic mode at the moment but going to make a doctors appointment in the morning. I’ve had a headache all day too and just started to have pain in my pelvis. Hubby is at work until 8pm and I wish he was home, I just want to be curled up in his arms 😔. I’ve made dinner and it is now cooking, so I am watching Gilmore girls. Since last Sunday before my period started I have had this feeling like I have a bubble or air trapped in my vagina. These are my standard beginner's protein bars. They taste almost like birthday cake if you add a cheeky extra scoop of protein powder...or don't add any at all and just enjoy them as healthy blueberry flapjacks 😋 tasty either way. Ingredients: 5 tbsp coconut oil 4/5 tbsp agave/maple syrup 3 tbsp peanut butter 2 cups rolled oats 150g blueberries Optional vanilla dairy free protein powder. Method: Melt the syrup and nut butter together in a pan until they're combined, then take them off the heat. Mix in the oats and protein powder. If the mixture looks too dry add more syrup, if it's too wet add more oats. Fold in your blueberries. Smooth the mixture into a shallow baking tin on top of some baking paper. Bake at 190°C until they go golden brown, and a knife or toothpick comes out clean. ✨And that's it!✨ Could not possibly be easier. They're vegan, refined-sugar free, and it's easy to make them gluten free by changing to gluten free oats which I do for my mother. Mermaid Adaptogen Super Smoothie Bowl! I tend to have smoothie bowls for breakfast or an afternoon snack, but yesterday I devoured this beauty at lunchtime as I was feeling something fresh, sweet and fruity! This smoothie bowl is packed with adaptogens which support the hormonal and nervous system. I've also found that supporting my body with adaptogens during my follicular phase and especially pre ovulatory, helps me to reach a healthy ovulation at a healthy time in my cycle! 👐 RECIPE: • 1 Avocado • 1 Frozen banana • 10 Frozen raspberries • 1 tbsp flaxmeal • 1 tsp chia seeds • 1 tbsp almond butter • 1/2 tsp maca powder • 1\2 tsp reishi mushroom powder • 1 tsp spirulina • 3 cubes of ice • 1/2 cup water or plant based milk of choice • METHOD: Blend all the ingredients together and then top with all your favourite things! I don’t know if y’all know but #pickles are amazing for #cramps. I used to deal with some pretty bad ones a few years ago and was looking up #remedies and this popped up. It’s more specifically the pickle juice ( #yum) but I know some people can’t stand the taste. They become my best friend whenever I do actually have a period. I have these and then a jar of the big pickles in the fridge because I love snacking on them too😂

Tonight I will Launch the begining of my journey towards better health. One of the challenges that I struggle with the most is Sleeping. I don't know if anyone else does too. My problem is I am tired through out the day, but come night time 7 pmish. I am BALL OF ENERGY. I then cant get to sleep til 3 - 4 am. I always have intentions to get an early start. I want to get some exercise in the morning before work. But I just cant wake up. I am always late too! If hitting the snooze button was a skill set, I could teach a class. . . Tonight I will do. My best to get to bed at 11pm. Gradually going down to 9pm. Im thinking 5 min increments. . . I have read that with PCOS it is essential to get at least 8 hrs. Last Friday I had a romantic date with my husband (and the baby 😂). I ate grilled sea bass with ginger and shrimp sauce and capers risotto. Then we shared the desert (apple pie and ice cream). I felt guilty, thinking "I should have ordered a salad". But then I decided to enjoy the moment... didn't eat all the rice and choose water as it doesn't have calories. I mean, who is perfect all the time? One meal out of diet it's not the end of the world. (I hope so). Anyone else struggling when eating out? ----------- Sexta passada saí com o meu marido para um jantar romântico (com o bebê 😂). Pedi robalo ao molho de camarão e gengibre com risoto de alcaparras. Depois dividimos uma sobremesa. Me senti culpada, "devia ter pedido salada". Mas depois decidi curtir o momento, não comi todo o arroz, bebi água pra economizar calorias... So ear infection or just an ear ache is in full swing. I have popped some ibuprofen and had something to eat and now in a hot bath with some clary sage essential oil and bubble bath. CD 8 - count down to ovulation has begun. Today I am at my parents visiting like I do every Sunday. I love catching up and talking to my mum, she’s my best friend and we talk about anything and everything. . I have a question how often should hubby and I have sex leading up to ovulation, at the moment I have no CM so no point for now but when I do, when should we start BDing. Any advice would be great!
