This unhappy camper scaled my walls and shower curtain, fell off my rainfall shower head, then wedged him/herself in my blinds😖. Tomorrow is spay/neuter day with release on Tuesday.
On my way to the yoga site, I spotted 2 black cats and a fluffy tabby (swipe left). I pulled over. The youngest, maybe around 7-8 months was very affectionate. Head butts, purring, the whole nine. A feeder showed up and confirmed that he/she was very friendly with humans. I picked the youngin’ up, it didn’t mind, and put it in the trap and headed home. The intent was to get him/her adopted out. I let the buddy out into my bathroom, full of promise. Bed set up, wet food out, litter box waiting. Hell commenced. Full feral freak out that ended in my husband prodding the poor cat, who was clutching the window, back into the trap with a broom. A piece of our window blinds is still the trap.
I’ll laugh at the craziness in a few days, but for now I feel like I let this cat down. Did I rush it? Or was he/she affectionate solely as a means to beg for food? At least he/she won’t make babies from here out.
