A week in October half term.
🛌 We stayed at lovely service apartments www.staycatalina.com in the laid back Santa Catalina area of Palma. Booked via @iescapewithkids 🛍 The city’s oldest market and lots of shops and restaurants are nearby.
Palma is an incredible city but, as a family, we felt, 2-3 days sightseeing was enough (but as a couple, we could have wandered, eaten and drunk our way around the city for a good week 🤪). These were our highlights ➡️
👍🏼The old market in Santa Catalina (free) 👍🏼And the Es Jonquet windmills nearby (free)
👍🏼The museum of contemporary art @esbaluardmuseu area- plenty of free outdoor art & space to run around (free)
👍🏼The multiple parks & water play areas in the centre of the city (free)
👍🏼The cathedral & lake 👍🏼The old train & tram to Port de Soller
🐠 We spent a brilliant rainy day at @palmaaquarium (there’s a bus that goes from opposite Palma Station)
🏝If you’re hiring a car, we really liked Portals Vells, Cala Deia & Valldemossa
😊As expected, the locals were absolutely brilliant with children and we found plenty for them do eat, see and do wherever we went.
